RECETTEAR - jcdietz03 - 2010-08-02 There is this game RECETTEAR from EasyGameStation. EasyGameStation: http://egs.cug.net/ The game is about an item shop owner. The recent English demo from Carpe Fulgur inspired me to pick it up. Carpe Fulgur: http://www.carpefulgur.com/ I found (I won't say I learned, but I did look them up) the following words while playing the first ~30 mins or so. Best way to learn these? Can you suggest an easier game? This game is not AGTH (anime game text hooker) friendly. Can you suggest one that is? RECETTEAR - Ryuujin27 - 2010-08-02 Scrolling down the list quickly I noticed a lot of those words are very basic, everyday words. So, first of all, good job composing that list. Second, throw them all into anki in vocab format (kanji -> kana and meaning) and just go for it. Doing anything else in Japanese will cause you to encounter those words a ton of times. I'd also recommend the anki plugin to download audio for vocab words. This way you won't pronounce 雰囲気 as ふんいき instead of how it is really said (more like ふいんき) RECETTEAR - stehr - 2010-08-02 Looks like a mess of words from JLPT levels 3 - 1, all dealing with business and trade, and they're all pretty useful. Just pop them into anki and learn them. RECETTEAR - mezbup - 2010-08-02 鎧 woot... new word+kanji. Just pop them into anki and learn them. Not really. Like a couple of the words listed deal with business and trade. The rest are basic level stuff you would find on JLPT 4 or 3. Just read down the list word for word and you will see that barely any of them are business and trade words. On a side note; I have played this game on the PC. It is pretty fun once you get into it. The monster battling is kind of stale though. Japanese wise the vocabulary is pretty straightforward. I guess the thing that might turn down beginners is that the kanji do not have furigana if you are unfamiliar with certain kanji written words. Both are fun and while the vocab isn't super easy, you can click on the kanji in the dialogue and it will tell you how to read it. Though judging by that list it might still be a little hard for you. |
