Heart Kanji writing (when by itself) - Zon70 - 2010-07-18

I'm actually way past the heart 心 kanji but I am wondering why in the book is it, when written out way different? When writing 心 are you supposed to do it kind of like when it is at the bottom, cause so far Ive been doing it like how it is on the computer.

I think that on most computer fonts, kokoro (心) has very unnatural proportions, with a tall, angular large stroke. I imagine this was to make a kanji that's normally written flatter into something that's the same size as the other characters. If you look at the kanji stroke order font, it has more natural looking proportions.
