Anyone in NYC or Philly? - InTransition - 2010-07-15 Anyone here live in either New York City (any of the boroughs) or in Philly? Do you own a copy of Heisig's Remember the Kanji that you no longer need and that you can pass down to me? I would really appreciate it. Please contact me through this thread or via PM. *If you do fit the bill, but hate giving things away for free, I amy have possible trade options. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - Nesetoru - 2010-07-15 Libraries exist for a reason you know. I bet there's tons of libraries in New York alone which have a copy of Heisig's book. Just some friendly advice
Anyone in NYC or Philly? - InTransition - 2010-07-15 It doesn't seem too friendly, but i digress, a reply is still a reply and I'll take it. Now, I will tell you this, I look throught the New York Library's catalog and they do NOT have this book. Let me go check the Queens Library's catalog... (pause while I do some real time checking) Crap, the Queens Library actually may have it. Its coming up in the results. Now I would have to go look for it. Thanks for motivationg me. Overall though, I'd rather have my own hard-copy. So the offer stands. I have things to barter, so if you are through with your copy of the book then let's trade. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - groovee_grl - 2010-07-15 You can get it used for $9.05 on Amazon.com... Anyone in NYC or Philly? - InTransition - 2010-07-15 I may eventually have to buy it, but if I have things that I can barter, then why not attempt that first? Am I gathering that even though some of you may be done with the book, you still have a need for it in your lives? Is it an emotional attatchment? Anyone in NYC or Philly? - Nesetoru - 2010-07-16 I apologize if my reply came across arrogant. It wasn't my intention at all. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - Ryuujin27 - 2010-07-16 Ahh, I'm sorry to say that you missed my copy by about 3 weeks! I'm sure there is someone here that will do it though Anyone in NYC or Philly? - shadysaint - 2010-07-16 Sir, bartering undermines our great consumption-based economic system. You should never reuse anything. Always buy new things and throw them out when you're done with them. Never use libraries, for they are communist strongholds. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - NYFinest - 2010-07-16 Hmm, I'm in Long Island. Do you still need the book? Shoot me a PM... LMAO Anyone in NYC or Philly? - Thora - 2010-07-16 I'll double whatever InTransition is offering you, NYFinest. (capitalism ftw) (those sound like racetrack names haha) Anyone in NYC or Philly? - InTransition - 2010-07-18 I know you are just joking my Canadian brother, but if you weren't, then please be aware that you would have to give a mighty good deal. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - Blahah - 2010-07-18 InTransition Wrote:I know you are just joking my Canadian brotherSister you mean. Out of interest did you agree on a barter trade? What is a copy of RTK worth? A chicken? Anyone in NYC or Philly? - lagwagon555 - 2010-07-18 40 rubles and half a dozen eggs. Anyone in NYC or Philly? - InTransition - 2010-07-18 Curiosity answered. I haven't agreed on a trade yet. Someone contacted me, but the goods I have, he may not want. |
