Nelson Mandela Day - Mushi - 2010-07-15 Today is Mandela day, so even though he may eye your crotch all day, please do not ridicule his state of mind. Or for that matter, mention his loose watery BM. (I am woefully lacking in knowledge of Sanskrit) Nelson Mandela Day - chris9687 - 2010-07-15 [] Nelson Mandela Day - vinniram - 2010-07-15 you must have missed the world cup. Nelson Mandela Day - masaman - 2010-07-15 Why in the world would Mandela eyes your crotch all day and have loose BM? I don't get the sarcasm and my brains are overheating... Nelson Mandela Day - Delina - 2010-07-15 Mandela sounds like "mandala", as in Heisig's primitive, and Mushi-chan is giving example stories for "ridicule" and "loose", kanji that use said primitive. So whether it's funny or witty remains open to debate, but at least it's not a complete WTF. Thanks a lot. I can sleep now. Sorry 虫さん for dissecting the frog. Nelson Mandela Day - chris9687 - 2010-07-16 [] Nelson Mandela Day - vinniram - 2010-07-16 the world celebrated the fun and laughter of the world cup. south africa still has challenges but they came together to celebrate football and life. it was an amazing month and I already miss it. Nelson Mandela Day - bodhisamaya - 2010-07-16 I doubt any major sports event will be held on the continent of Africa in the next several decades due to those annoying bee swarm noises drowning out the World Cup. That will be what most people outside of Spain will remember about South Africa hosing the world's most popular sporting event (my apologies to the Olympics). Nelson Mandela Day - Mushi - 2010-07-16 chris9687 Wrote:Why would someone like Nelson Mandella have a day. Its slightly controversial to say the least considering his views.I would say this 10,000 times - I always remember Mandela as the MAN (まん). Nelson Mandela Day - bodhisamaya - 2010-07-20 Is there someone who can second the support for those instruments from hell? Or am I justified in vilifying them as the tool that blackballs the continent of Africa from hosting sporting events for a generation? Nelson Mandela Day - masaman - 2010-07-20 OK. I don't know if you guys know キャプテン翼. It's an old soccer Anime. And I don't know much about soccer, but if I wanted to watch it and it was like this http://ayacnews2nd.com/archives/51658968.html I think I'll bang my head to the TV until I crack my head open. It was unthinkable when I was a little kid. Nelson Mandela Day - Koos83 - 2010-07-21 It seems some anime came to Holland and nowhere else, like Maple Town ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maple_Town ) and Samurai Pizza Cats ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai_Pizza_Cats ). I'm pretty the latter was shown in English (American accents), but I have yet to find an American who knows it. Anyway, I loved these shows as a kid. ^^ Nelson Mandela Day - yudantaiteki - 2010-07-21 I've never tried Tsubasa, but I can always get nostalgic feelings out of native speakers my age by saying things like 我が生涯に一片の悔いなし! and 退かぬ!媚びぬ!省みぬ! (And of course YOUはSHOCK.

Almost made my head explode on several occasions Nelson Mandela Day - masaman - 2010-07-21 Wow, People in Holland seem to know more Anime than I do. It's surprising how many Japanese words are actually loan words from Dutch though. http://weblog.simplifysimplify.net/?p=4 カラン kraan[クラーン] 栓、蛇口 ゴム gom[ゴム] ゴム コップ kop[コップ] コップ、頭部 スコップ schop[スホップ] スコップ、シャベル。 I didn't even know ポン酢 was from Dutch... Yeah I've always kind of wondered what ポン is. I was gonna introduce a Japanese joke about 退かぬ!媚びぬ!省みぬ!and women's driving technique, but I'm such a wimp, I chickened out. And Evil_Dragon, お前はすでに死んでいる。 |
