This book is great!!! - DaveNB - 2007-06-13

Started on Sunday and I am doing about three lessons in about an hour and half every day and so far with a writting rememberance rate of about 90-95% (I think?). Its the first time I have been able to study kanji from its primitives. Admittedly I can read about 1800 kanji with using their on/kun yomi when aplicable which makes making storie really easy, but I was never able to remember how to write them. I have to thank Jimmyseal for putting me on to this site and book.

I do feel that some of his choosen English words could better in some cases, but I do realize that some kanji have several meanings and he choose words that were easy to remember for him.

Amen. I always confused "eminent" with "imminent" and had no idea what a brocade was. But, now I know that a paulowia is where some princess cavorts with her over-friendly monks...
