Optimizing Sentence Mining News - Evangelo - 2010-06-09 I've decided to make my next goal to work my way through news stories. I've finished sentence mining RTK, KO2001, Kanji in Context, the JLPT 2 and 1 vocab lists, and I want to really round out my learning. So, without my more left to build my vocab, I've realized it's time to start sentence mining news stories. Of course, I don't want to sporadically pick news from ライフハッカー and then get news from NHK, nor so I want to get bored doing the grinding I did with vocab over the past few months. My thinking was to pick two or three stories from two or three sites (NHK, TBS, Fuji), rotate through them, and mine every sentence that I don't understand. I figured this would optimize it because I would be following certain stories (meaning I would reinforce vocab while learning new words in context) and keep things interesting (by rotating through the stories). In other words, my sentence mining schedule would be something like: Monday : 菅氏首相 内閣 - NHK Tuesday: W杯 - TBS Wednesday: シー・シェパード - Fuji Thursday: 菅氏首相 内閣 - NHK Friday: W杯 - TBS Saturday: シー・シェパード - Fuji et cetera, et cetera Does anyone have any other ideas?
