As an owner of a 10" eeepc netbook, I can say that Asus makes excellent products and probably will give Apple some stiff competition in the coming months if they can deliver pads with these specs. But when it comes to something like Asus, that's something that's going to cost more than something to buy on a whim. iPed, it's less than 10,000 yen, so if I were in some store and saw it, I would probably pick it up.

I've got a TabletPC with Win7. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Even if Win7 itself didn't require a TON of CPU and GPU and memory, the interface isn't made for using with your hands. And good digitizers are -expensive- it's not like you can use it for a decent drawing tablet, either.
I'm looking forward to some good Android-based tablets from good companies. Asus will do.

They're not really going to call it iPed, are they? I mean, the iPad got a ridiculous amount of flak just for sounding like a feminine hygiene product. Making your product sound like a trendy accessory for pedophiles probably isn't a good way to corner the international market.
