Or if you meant 要らない... it simply as a typo but it still seems random to me. This is really off-topic. It was deliberately 'wrong' Japanese that went with the rhyming wordplay of the overall phrase. I think it's weird the way you bring up typos. First you assert ta123123 made a typo (how would you know that?) then this other random bit. Do you just like typing 'typo'? /random ;p Why are we writing in English? - Yonosa - 2010-05-19 I agree with forum names, and there has already been another post about that. But besides that, I have no desire to read other learners japanese mistakes.... Terrible idea in my honest opinion. Stick to native japanese, come on! Why are we writing in English? - gyuujuice - 2010-05-19 "That's why I put the ellipsis there. It was deliberately 'wrong' Japanese that went with the rhyming wordplay of the overall phrase." Obviosuly. =__=' You have to admit that your post was a bit strange. It's pretty hard for me to tell sarcasm on a forum where I have to sense of tonality or expression. (Maybe it's just me.) Thanks Yonasa, though I think we came to that conclusion already. ^__^ But forum titles seems like a harmless addition. It was deliberately 'wrong' Japanese that went with the rhyming wordplay of the overall phrase."How was it strange? We were discussing 'wrong' Japanese transfer via learners paying attention to other learners' mistakes, Eikyu pointed out one such mistake, I jokingly made a dual post in Japanese--one pertinent to the conversation on the surface but also deliberately 'wrong' to joke about the passing on of mistakes (by going too far in the other direction) i.e. I was being ironic, then I tried to clue you in by clarifying, using wordplay and more deliberately 'wrong' Japanese (which actually 'corrected' my original Japanese 'mistake', phonologically). Seems really obvious and rather witty to me, and very apt (even my irony had a point about the rationale for being ambiguous towards the mistakes and potential corrections thereof), if I do say so myself (here I'm being purposefully boastful). Did it go over anyone else's head? It was really simple and trivial, no idea why you were so confused from the onset, uncertain whether I was joking. Lastly, the particle わ wasn't random either, it was a throwaway reference to the 'feminine particles' thread. Why are we writing in English? - Jarvik7 - 2010-05-19 I've never been comfortable speaking Japanese to other foreigners unless it's in a conversation with Japanese natives who don't speak English at a decent level. Typing Japanese on the forums may be good practice for the poster, but this isn't the place to have people correcting your every post (goto lang8 for that), and learning Japanese by exposing yourself to foreigners of various levels (and their mistakes) isn't really the best idea. There is nothing wrong with keeping English in your life anyways. Why are we writing in English? - bodhisamaya - 2010-05-19 I didn't read all of the posts because some of the English language submissions were by non-native speakers. Did someone suggest we correct Japanese entries? Why are we writing in English? - Jarvik7 - 2010-05-19 I wasn't aware that you're learning English as a second language Bodhi... (I didn't read that thread but it now it makes more sense.) Sorry I corrected you like a @#$% I really can't tell sarcasm unless it's literally spelled out for me. =/ Why are we writing in English? - Asriel - 2010-05-19 i'm still trying to figure out who's a guy and who's a girl on this site :/ Why are we writing in English? - gyuujuice - 2010-05-19 Is it really that important?
