Minor glitch in RTK2? - Groot - 2010-05-09 Am I wrong, or does Frame 209 of RTK2 (p. 38)contain a minor glitch? It's the start of a three-frame pure group involving the "double mysterious" primitive -- a top hat with two drops, covering two cocoons. The kanji at the far left looks correct, but the signal primitive features flowers, not the double-top hat. It's not a big deal, but it's bugging me. Maybe I'm missing something?Does Heisig welcome e-mailed comments on topics like this? Minor glitch in RTK2? - kapalama - 2010-05-28 Not only does that Kanji come in the 艹 form, it also comes in 䒑, and 艹, as well as the 亠亠 form. If you have the ability to look at the character in a non Japanese Unicode font, you will see it change styles. Nelson lists it with a two top hat variant, and Halpern lists it with a flowers variant. It's a typesetting and font issue probably. It may all be listed as the same Unicode character 慈 |
