buy on bk1.jp - gomiboy - 2010-05-08

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry to bothering you with this matter, I just failed to place an order of two books at http://www.bk1.jp and I can't understand why.
I followed the guide at http://forums.zero-type.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2223, but at the last click, when I have to confirm all the data, the site refuse my order with this message "指定されたクレジットカードは、現在利用できません".
My Japanese sucks but I understood it refused my credit card. My card is a Postepay, that is a debit card from Italian postal service. It is a VISA Electron card, so I selected "VISA カード" on bk1. Amazon and Tenso had drained it without complaint so I don't understand the problem.
In the credit card form, I already changed owner Name and Surname position and case, just in case ...
Does exists a customer care address for bk1? an english speaking one?
Do you already experienced similar problem?

Based on a cursory google search, Visa Electron cards are not credit cards, but are accepted at many places which accept Visa credit cards.

http://www.bk1.jp probably just doesn't support debit cards (which is what Electron is).

Ya, Visa Electron isn't usually accepted online. Many sites explicitly state it or it just isn't contained in the list. Are you sure it's not a debit card? I'd get on to your provider in either case. My debit card is Visa, so I never bother with credit cards.

Visa electron is a limited debit card (much lower daily spending limits than normal debits). They're fairly common in europe but internationally rare, so many non-EU websites don't accept them (except huge internationals like Amazon, PayPal etc). Your best bet is to buy a pre-paid debit card from your bank or a local financial services company - this appears as a full Visa debit in online transactions and is accepted anywhere which accepts visa (or mastercard, depending on the card you get).

I ordered on 09/22 from bk1.jp via ship (surface) mail. I haven't got my order yet. About how long does it take?

Surface can take months -- literally. You're still well within tolerance.
