Well, I'm sure this will end well.

I must say, I have noticed a -LOT- more posts go missing since Fabrice handed over the keys to the kingdom.

Edit: You keep using the word 'ban' though. Since you still have the same account, you haven't been banned.

A message to the Admin - Yonosa - 2010-05-02

I will edit to close, yeah I guess ban is not the correct usage huh.
But yeah, this is not some imagined issue, it seriously keeps happening(and not to my posts usually btw, so this is not just a complaint about my post, I have noticed it happen elsewhere much more often than it should, but more importantly, without reason.)

A message to the Admin - nest0r - 2010-05-02

I thought Yonosa's 'rant' thread was a joke, it was so poor. Only knowing that kazelee bothered editing it and closing the thread made me realize it was actually for real. Remarkable restraint from kazelee. ;p

@wcc - What are you talking about? A "LOT" of missing posts? From what I've seen, kazelee makes do with partial edits (with notes) and temporary thread freezes more than anything, and those on relatively rare occasions. This place is very lightly moderated compared to other forums, between the posting styles and the mod styles.

I think Yonosa needs to lay off the crack.

A message to the Admin - Yonosa - 2010-05-02

haha, you see now this has just become the type of post which could more understandably be closed! The whole crack gesture is a personally directed defaming attacK! haha. But my ideas of freedom of speech go to the point where everyone should be able to say whatever they would like, and let the defamers be free! So let it go on!

By the way I was drinking quite heavily when I made that last post, I am not really speaking just my post. I am just saying unless people are personally attacking each other posts, especially those that are active should be let be, regardless of questions of literary excellence. haha

A message to the Admin - kazelee - 2010-05-02

1. The vast majority of your posts are inflammatory, and yet they remain. All I've done is added line breaks and changed your sensationalist/insulting title. Use the return key. It was invented for a reason.

2. I've delete a total of 6 posts. 5 were reported and/or spam. 1 was yours.

3. I lock threads when they get out of hand, then open them back up when people have had time to breathe. That's better than just saying you can't debate x, y, or z. And it prevents members from blowing up over nothing. The only threads that remain locked are the ones started by an over-posturing egotist and you.

Grow up, Yonosa. I find it despicable that you would attempt to disguise your own lack of self control with a post in the name of free speech. In the future if you have any qualms with the way I do things, drop me an email. Or better yet, write a blog. Either way I won't be reading it.

wccrawford Wrote:I must say, I have noticed a -LOT- more posts go missing since Fabrice handed over the keys to the kingdom.
6 posts deleted in almost a year as moderator. I'd say that's pretty low. If you've seen anything else vanish, I leave it to "you" to decide who done it.

Also note: IceCream has a habit of deleting a - LOT - of her own posts. She's not the only one.

nest0r Wrote:@wcc - What are you talking about? A "LOT" of missing posts?
I call it like I see it. The only way I notice missing posts is when I click in from an email and it says the post doesn't exist. I have no clue as to why or who deleted it.

I've deleted my own posts before, so I know it's perfectly plausible that the person deleted their own. It's also possible that a moderator (including Fabrice) deleted them.

Most of the ones I've noticed happened to be in very questionable threads as well, just for the record. That still doesn't mean it was a mod... It could be the person realized their own post wasn't something they really wanted to put out there in their own name.

We'll never know.

This doesn't make any sense. I see comments go missing on occasion, and I know that it's because the commenter deleted them. "We'll never know"? Yes, kazelee is an evil mastermind that deletes comments and then no one complains because of the chilling effects of their tyranny, or they do complain but those get deleted too! Way to clue us in on the conspiracy. How you managed to keep this from getting deleted we'll never know.

Well I have been known to add "I like turtles" to the end of certain posts. I also changed a random youtube link to Rick Astley on April fools. XD

A message to the Admin - Tobberoth - 2010-05-02

I always thought the Kazelee "promotion" was some form of meaningless gesture since I've never actually noticed any form of moderation from kazelee. Fabrice have been shutting down threads and deleted some posts but it has always been in extreme situations. This forum is probably the least moderated forum I've ever been to.

I didn't want to say anything for fear of getting banned. Only wccrawford has the guts to call it like they see it.

Are you a native English speaker Yonosa? I know it says you are from the USA but I find your posts rather difficult to read.

A message to the Admin - bodhisamaya - 2010-05-02

I am often surprised that threads that have no where to go but in an unpleasant direction remain most of the time.
Yonoso has an abrasive writing style so most of us understand that and usually don't over-react. Though, a thread where only negative statements about a country are encouraged doesn't contribute much to the forum.
I do wish admin would stop editing my posts so they always end:
I love you Kazelee!

Uggg! Not again Sad

He's doing a major in economics, if I recall correctly, in Austria, so he might be bilingual Smile

lol ... you got me with that Rickroll thing...twice! (you know, I actually survived that musical/style era and shouldn't have to revisit it. Pls show some mercy.)

Since the topic was raised: A big thanks to our moderators for volunteering their time to monitor and for doing a fine job in the rare instances it's required. I've seen restraint, fairness, [transparency] and wit from the mods. And more humour from the 'censored' turtles and goblins. (there's a hint in there, Yonosa...)

Some forum history trivia too: Originally, an OP could remove an entire thread by deleting the first post. Yonosa had used this power a few times to delete long, active threads containing thoughtful posts by several members. That wasn't a popular move and the function was disabled. lol
[oops Yonoso -> Yonosa]

Wasn't personal. You were the first example that popped in my head. I've stated that others have deleted their posts as well. Like RUINER... where has that guy been lately.
