This isn't really a story request as much as it is an attempt to provide an area to address those kanji that we may come across that are not in any Heisig book. Over the last few days I have seen 比喩(ひゆ) written about 10 times in the textbook I am reviewing. The obvious problem is 喩.
A quick search returns the meaning "metaphor".
So that would give us, mouth, and a stylized meeting of the butchers to deal with, which, I decided, from the mangled flesh and broken sword, to make butchers slaughtered in their own house. This phrase, from the mouth of wisdom, is like a metaphor to remind one of what happens when one pays attention to ones job at the expense of ones family.
I was curious if anyone wanted to share any other ideas for this kanji or other kanji that they have encountered.

I also named that kanji "metaphor". I call the right-hand side "abattoir". To remember the kanji I use the phrase "His mouth is an abattoir", which is, of course, a metaphor.

Here is what my book says, abridged:
「喩」'explain, reason, understand, know, analogy' - the meaning comes from 'utilize mouth to convey ideas'. Apparently「俞」stands here for 「輸」'transport, convey, etc.'.
「俞」is a very old sign which existed in both the Bone-shell and the Metal Script and its meaning was 'a dugout canoe' the discovery of which had greatly liberated ancient people's movement. 「輸」therefore signifies 'vehicle serving as a dugout canoe' or 'to transport'.
Nowadays, 「俞」has no meaning except the use as a surname.
Or yes, by the way: 「前」'forward, front, before' really connotes 'advance on boat' and also stems from 「俞」... This is a very productive component which is used in over 17 characters...
This is real etymology, in case anyone was wondering what had happened to the butchers...

In an effort to keep this thread from turning into yet another etymological one, I will post another kanji that I came across today while reading. It is not a Heisig kanji, although, for the life of me, I have no idea why.

This kanji was a fun one for me. We have what looks a bit like stinking on the right but the St. Bernard has been replaced with a Chihuahua. So I picture a Chihuahua with his mouth behind another dog sniffing the stinking butt in the way dogs love to do.

Apart from the above mentioned 嗅 I just added 炒 茹 呟 姜 焙 to my SRS.
Surprising that none of them is covered, although RTKIII contains so many kanji - and most of them with limited importance.
Here are a few more which might be worth to consider:
