What's New?
● Added option to the EPWING tab to show all entries from the same EPWING dictionary at the same time. Screenshot:

● Added option to the EPWING tab to append the EDICT gloss to the EPWING results. Screenshot:

● Added option to the EPWING tab to try searching for the next longest match if the longest match could not be found (Thanks alexp!). For example, the word "自由研究" does not exist in many EPWING dictionaries, however, the word "自由" does. When this option enabled, "自由" will be searched if "自由研究" could not be found.
● The EPWING dictionary title is now shown in the popup and in the options dialog. To hide the title in the popup, set "epwingshowtitle" to false in "about:config". To use the full title instead of a shortened title, set "epwingshowshorttitle" to false in "about:config".
● Various improvements to the EPWING entry parser, including Daijirin support.
● The EPWING entry parser is now enabled by default and will only parse supported dictionaries.
Note: As with the last update, You will need to manually re-enter your EPWING dictionaries after updating.

In Epwing2anki we have the to option to only get the example sentences from tatoeba and 研究社 新和英大辞典 without translation; Could you do the same for 研究社 新和英大辞典 in rikaisama so I only see the sentences in japanese not the translation?

Just a tiny nibble that my beloved Shinmeikai stopped having any kind of color whatsoever...

I know it's not one of the supported dictionaries, but at least the heading used to be colorized (as shown in a previous post I made).

Would it be possible to add an option to RegEx filter words that are added to Anki using the Anki Real-Time Import plugin? I recall that this happened automatically in the past, but this functionality seems to have disappeared at some point.
Similarly the "Copy to clipboard" feature could benefit from a similar RegEx filter option, and from copying the "finished" output with line breaks instead of the "source" with the HTML tags and all.
Also something you might already know, but the download page incorrectly points to v18 as the latest version.

I'm completely baffled as to why rikaisama refuses to add cards to my deck..
I get the error "Current note type does not contain the following field: Meaning" which sounds self-explanatory...
The problem is the note type does contain the "Meaning" field and this error started to occur only after I had already added 400 cards to the deck without any problems.

1) Open Anki.
2) Select your deck from the deck chooser.
3) Click "Add" (it's between "Decks" and "Browse").
4) Click the "Type" button and select the correct "Note Type".

Hello I am currently running the newest version of Rikaisama, Firefox and Anki.
I keep getting the "Waiting for editing to finish" screen everytime I try to add a card. When I click resume now, they haven't been added, even when I browse all. (I currently only have two cards in Anki)
I used to use Anki back in 2006 but it's been along time and I am out of practice.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi cb4960, sorry to bother you. Rikaisama does not seem to work in my case.
Problem: Hovering over a character automatically recognizes and highlights the whole word in blue, but nothing else happens, i.e. no pronunciation or definition or anything at all, either in EPWING or in the normal dictionary file. Tried on Wikipedia and the NHK news site.
Additional data: Disabling Rikaisama allows the traditional Rikaichan to work normally. Except for this problem, all of Rikaisama's options seem to work as intended, i.e. play audio on hover, startup with lookup bar, etc. The problem only began today when I updated from an old Rikaisama version. Already tried deleting and reinstalling Rikaisama, Rikaichan and the dictionary file and the result has been the same.
Settings
- Rikaichan 2.07. Dictionary file 2.01.130701. Rikaisama 20.1. Firefox 26.0.
- General: (The following are on) Highlight text. Translate alt/title tags. Automatically use selected text in Lookupbar. Show Lookupbar at the bottom. Show icon in statusbar. Show mini help. Rounded corners.
- Startup: (Everything off)
- Menus: Context Menu Toggle. ToolsMenu Toggle.
- EPWING: Kenkyuusha 5th ed.
I'm very much afraid Rikaisama is working correctly but I just haven't ticked a necessary tickbox... But I've already tried practically all tickboxes with no luck. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Are there any rikaisama-related messages in the error console (ctrl-shift-j)?
Does it work when you disable the EPWING feature?

Uninstalled both and reinstalled only Rikaisama. No change. Disabled "EPWING Mode" on "Startup" tab and removed Kenkyuusha from "EPWING" tab. No change.
Message from the error console:

(No idea why it's referencing "rikaichan.js" since now I have only Rikaisama and the Dictionary File, with the traditional Rikaichan uninstalled.)
