have you ever heard of blogs and blogging? :rolls eyes:

it would probably be a better idea to blog; then post a link to it here on the forums for people to take a look at and check your progress.

Also, for more information regarding useful study sources, check the "Essential Resources" thread.

After you finishing taking JLPT 2, you can throw away all the useless grammar that they teach you.

Check out my thread at:

Kanzen Master 2-Kyuu Usage List

I had a Japanese friend go through the list of grammar and tell me
which ones were useful(or useless) in everyday speech. Turns out
maybe half of the stuff isn't ever used at all by Japanese people.

If all you're interested in is "everyday speech", that might be fair enough. Certainly not suggesting that I know more about Japanese than chamcham's Japanese friend.Howevert, on the off chance that you might want to read something, I reckon you're gonna come across the vast majority of JLPT 2 grammar nuggets.

I've only been engaging with real texts for a couple of months (as opposed to textbooks and learner texts) and I've noticed loads of JLPT 2 grammar bites.

Yes. The usage list also makes note of which expressions you'll pretty
much only see in reading(and not ever spoken by anyone).

Sorry for being ignorant.. thanks for the suggestion..

I'm also aiming to pass JLPT2 because I have the idea in mind that it will help me get a permanent job in Japan.

Thanks also for the other posts.. Just what I was looking for...
