I downloaded the first volume of Great Teacher Onizuka and was struggling to get through it. Haven't checked out anything else yet but figured I'd ask here first. This thread may not be the best place for this and I'm not sure how Core2k level these manga are but they are what I read (or tried to read, at least) after completing Core2k: http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=123 http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=149 http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1801 http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=5593 a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - squarezebra - 2012-08-09 could anyone please enlighten me as to how one might get these innocent reviews into a text file or pdf with the rubi displayed correctly so i might say read them on a kindle? I googled it, and didnt have much joy. I know you can convert the aozora bunko files for kindle, but thats not really what I'm after ..

I know it demands more terms than are in Core2K, but it's an easy read grammar-wise. Might be a good Core2K follow-up. Also, the first らんま1/2 book by 高橋留美子 is a decent read; just beware that the Chinese guide early in the story is speaking "broken" Japanese. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - blackbrich - 2012-08-09 squarezebra Wrote:could anyone please enlighten me as to how one might get these innocent reviews into a text file or pdf with the rubi displayed correctly so i might say read them on a kindle?Try this site. Just paste the text into it and it will convert it to a pdf thats written vertically. I believe you can also choose font size. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - squarezebra - 2012-08-09 That Sir Blackbrich is just what the doctor ordered. Hopefully installing the dropbox app and downloading through that will fix it.FYI, I had a similar problem when extracting from the archive with WinZip and WinRAR, but when I used PowerArchiver to do it the file names came out properly. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - chillimuffin - 2012-09-13 I had a dream in which my whole imaginary collection of Japanese light novels (or ranobe) disappeared due to a very sudden and realistic hard drive crash. I remember feeling particularly depressed because of losing 「NHKにようこそ」、「きののたび」and「狼と香辛料」(but of course in my dream many more titles were gone and that made me feel really sad). As it was a pretty nasty nightmare, I wonder if some good soul would help me chase it away and, say, share some pictures of cute, little Japanese kittens to make me feel better? a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - Taishi - 2012-09-13 chillimuffin Wrote:I had a dream in which my whole imaginary collection of Japanese light novels (or ranobe) disappeared due to a very sudden and realistic hard drive crash. But that's not exactly what I had in mind. I might not have been specific enough, my apologies. What I was thinking about was, more like, Japanese kittens reading books, perhaps even, you know, in tiny reading glasses... If you had something of that sort, that would be perfect. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - Bokusenou - 2012-09-13 chillimuffin Wrote:You know, if you look for the Japanese "reviews" dropbox/depositfiles links on page 10, it might soothe you over your cute kitten withdrawal. XD But I haven't been able to find any ranobe reviews there and so I thought someone might be able to help me out.Never mind me guys, I must have been really tired yesterday. I found most of what I was looking for exactly where Bokusenou said it would be. Sheesh, I hate it when I turn into this brainless noob sometimes. Sorry and thanks! a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - chillimuffin - 2012-09-14 Forget about my yesterday's babbling, I'm ok now ![]() Oh, and by the way I had another dream today. I dreamt that I found volumes 10-14 of "Kino no Tabi", which are not included in the original collection. I dreamt that they could be acquired here: http://bit.ly/8mvqux4 . Come to think of it, the url might have been more, sort of... tiny, though. I can never get it right

I'll link to an awesome aquarium web cam to make you feel better:...a half-complete dream that is.... interesting though... i saw the other half of it at a book store. ![]() Edit: @Bokusenou When i get round to it, someday, i'll proofread and complete "this kitchen dream". If i'm in the mood... i might throw in some "omake pages". Do you like kimchee, lizard or moonlight?

Also, is that the Hongfire batch or the books Nestor collected?IceCream drop is the same as hong batch. About nest0r collection, i thought they were similar, maybe someone in nest0r circle is able to shade some light and enlighten his readers? Back then, "demon torrent" had a few batch based on different genres like SF, light novels, J literature, J fiction, etc.

a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - sunehiro - 2013-11-27 EDIT: wrong topic, I'm reading too many of them at the same time. By the way, I've found キノの旅 a little too difficult for my level. Oddly ノルウェイの森 is better. It requires Adobe Air to be installed first. The viewer recognizes various file formats (Shift-JIS, pdf, ePub) and it can connect directly to the Aozora repository. Text can be displayed vertically or horizontally with a rather clean look, and Aozora ruby are handled properly. On the downside, one loses the possibility of using Rikaichan (but Weblio dictionary search is possible via a popup window). BTW, I came across this application through the site http://www.satokazzz.com/books/# Does anyone know about it? It looks interesting, but the amount of Japanese text is intimidating for me. Could someone have a look at it and explain what it is all about. Just a nice interface to Aozora or more? Thanks. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - kerecsen - 2014-08-15 Did anyone happen to come across some really detailed reviews of Murakami books, other than Hard Boiled Wonderland? I would be most interested in reading in relation to A Wild Sheep Chase (羊をめぐる冒険) and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (ねじまき鳥クロニクル). a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - Givala - 2014-08-15 There's a lot of reviews to go through... I made the terrible mistake of grabbing a review of the first book in a series for later perusal, and now I'm dying to see what the later books are like, but Fadeway's DropBox link seems to be dead. If anyone has any leads I will be ever so appreciative; I haven't been able to find the same set anywhere else. a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - Splatted - 2015-05-19 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5pxmwkj6d7hlvf0/AACk7FuDPZr5pPcIzWQnbFx6a?dl=0 I have a few more of the nestor books I haven't added yet because I forgot about it but I don't have them all. The Tumblr page looks interesting, but I keep getting stuck in a dead end wherein I am encouraged to download suspicious-looking toolbars. Have you had any luck with it personally? I suppose it's not as if I don't have enough to be going on with in any case... a totally innocent thread about 日本語 books - riogray - 2015-05-19 I wasn't able to read it in Japanese, but "In Praise of Shadows" (陰翳礼讃) was a great. It is a wonderful essay on Japanese aesthetics. I read it two weeks ago and I am suprised how much of it is also applicable to things here in Europe and that it is so very up-to-daten (it was published in the 1933). |
