Help...less than 300 to go but procrastination kicking in big time - Megaqwerty - 2007-06-21 Rakushun, I wholly agree: I'm still adding 60 frames a day (and should "finish" RTK III on Wednesday). There's a slight cost: my recall rate for Box 1 (reviewing the day after, of course) is somewhere around 10%. Box 2 is only just a wee bit better (~35%? We really should have access to these statistics: Anki has spoiled me), but after that my recall rate skyrockets to around 90%, so I guess that I'm doing fine. Congratulations akrodha, you've done really well! I have actually finished making stories up to the significant 2042, but have promised myself I'm not going to post as actually finished until I've reviewed them at least once on this site! I'm going to meet my replacement laptop tonight though, so will be back reviewing/adding kanji very soon!!! Chadokoro_K Wrote:OK fiminor, one more post to go!Watch out for it this weekend! Every minute you spend studying kanji, whether it's learning new ones or reviewing old ones, is a minute you're spending on progress. Don't rush yourself. Take breaks when your brain feels fuzzy from kanji-overexposure. Remember the thousand-mile proverb, and take your time on those single steps. Help...less than 300 to go but procrastination kicking in big time - akrodha - 2007-06-22 Whee! Congrats fiminor! I'm sure the recent events, what with the break-in and everything, must have caused unnecessary stress. But at least now you've got those stories through. Ahh, doesn't it feel great to have RTK1 off of your shoulders? Help...less than 300 to go but procrastination kicking in big time - Chadokoro_K - 2007-06-25 fiminor, congrats on finishing up stories for all of the RTK I kanji! I actually think that's the hardest part. The reviews get easier and easier once you are done. Hurray! Hope you and your laptop are well acquainted now. I'll keep my eye out for your posting once you finish your first review through them all. I'll do a kanpai in your honor, just as I did for akrodha and myself.
Help...less than 300 to go but procrastination kicking in big time - Chadokoro_K - 2007-07-01 Hey Fiminor, How is the review/adding stories you've already written coming along? I'm getting thirsty for that beer! ![]() Seriously, I hope it is coming along well and that you didn't lose too much data on the old laptop. I've had to put my RTK III on hold for a week as I've had a major project come in with a quick turnaround that I've got to meet. After two days of not doing even reviews, I vowed that that would be the one thing I stayed on top of. (And I've been good since then.) As we both know, no matter how busy life gets if you don't stay on top of reviews it can quickly become a monster out of control that wears you down with each passing day. Anyway, just thought I'd do a "courtesy check."
Help...less than 300 to go but procrastination kicking in big time - fiminor - 2007-07-01 Hey, thanks for the "courtesy check"! Really not trying to make excuses here, but if I had been looking for them, this month has really thrown them in my path! Got the nice shiny new laptop following the burglary, but was unable to use it straight away due to complete lack of power in the early part of this week following wide-scale flooding in my city. Not complaining - at least my house wasn't underwater, but it's been a bit of a strange week. I am determined that this coming week is going to be totally event-free, and I WILL FINISH the 2-3 (4-5?) hours of study it will take me to complete RTK1. Then a short breather and I am joining the RTK III gang! In my dreams... |
