I don't see what was wrong with that sentence ![]() but I was eating and half way reviewing whilst writing that out so gimmie a break Missy (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Jarvik7 - 2010-02-05 I put a list of kentei on the wiki some time ago, but there is enough out there to give you goals for the next 10-20 years. JLPT JTEST BJT KANKEN Nihongo Kentei Nihongo Business Kentei Shodou Kentei Penji Kentei Nihongo Bunshou Kentei certs for translating & interpreting and I'm sure there are a lot more, such as some sort of keigo kentei. You could also challenge yourself with the センター試験, although that tests a lot more than language ability. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Womacks23 - 2010-02-06 I wonder where my results are...... (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - ta12121 - 2010-02-06 just took at level 4 for JLPT. the sample questions. And they are easy! I think personally i'll just take them all. Start small then rise up to level 1. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Womacks23 - 2010-02-08 Just barely passed 2級 by 6 points. I think a retake is in order. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - mezbup - 2010-02-18 2級に不合格しちゃった!202/400. Exactly on par with what I was expecting. Not a disappointment in the slightest considering I'd been studying for only a year. I signed up 4 months before the test date and at the time wouldn't have even passed JLPT3 so for me to get that close feels like a huge success. I'm going to be taking it again in December this year but this time I'm actually aiming on passing. I'm going to totally nail it. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - tokidokibenkyoushimasu - 2010-02-18 Slightly self-indulgent post from a long time lurker... 2級合格 319/400 (^_^) in I guess 12 months of proper studying in Japan, and another 3 of 'don't forget it don't forget it don't forget it', erm, 'maintenance'. Massive thanks to many on this forum for: book, dorama etc recommendations, asking questions i didn't know i didn't know the answer to, answering said questions and many many other things. Cheers! Could you tell me your approximate level you were at when signing up (vocab, sentences, RTK, books studied etc.)? I'm interested because I might be doing something very similar as you (ie. signing up way before being able to pass). Excellent result. お疲れ様でした thurd Wrote:It took me more than 6 months to finish RTK and in that time all I'd done was read a beginners text book I bought from a book store and get about 1/3 ~ 1/2 the way through it before it nearly killed me. I'm interested because I might be doing something very similar as you (ie. signing up way before being able to pass). After RTK I did Tae Kim (read through it, srs'd a bit of it, not all) then did a couple of hundred sentences before realising it wasn't the method for me. This was around about the point I signed up for JLPT2 and picked up KO2001 and just went hardout. Then blazed through KM2kyuu and listened to as much Japanese as possible. Basically had 4 months prep and not too much Japanese knowledge but definitely some. I wish I didn't slack when doing RTK cos I could have got it done so much faster! Given that I only have 3-4 months more, its doubtful my result can turn out positive
(drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - alexpod - 2010-02-25 Just got my results yesterday (I'm in Australia) Failed level 2 with 235/400, gah!! My crappy listening score is what killed me. I'm actually more annoyed now because after the test I figured there was no way I was going to pass. I struggled (i.e. guessed) through the listening section and ran out of time in the reading section. But when I got the results and saw how close I got, now I want to cry ![]() There's no point taking level 2 again next year, otherwise it feels like I'm investing a whole year for 5 measly marks. So level 1 it has to be! (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - somukeru - 2010-03-02 Just received my level 3 results. 文字-語彙 76/100 聴解 83/100 読解-文法 156/200 総合点 315/400 Overall OK. I was hoping for better on the Reading and Grammar, but I knew the Vocabulary bit was weak. And boo to the people who scoff at JLPT 3 and 4. We can't all be geniuses at this stuff, and I find it useful to have some kind of yardstick. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - lagwagon555 - 2010-03-02 You could have had 10 genuine yardsticks for the same price. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Evil_Dragon - 2010-03-02 Level 1 366/400. I thought I might have done a little better, but still.. Yahoo! Congratulations to all of us. ![]() Surprisingly, I did much better on listening and reading/grammar even though I always thought of Kanji as my strong point. Oh btw, KLPT.. you're next! (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Jarvik7 - 2010-03-02 KLPT... You have any vocab/grammar lists? I need to take my revenge on Korean someday (maybe after kanken2). I could not find anything. Guess this goes to show how much more popular the JLPT is. ![]() If your study method involves vocab lists I'd just go with what's available on Wiktionary http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Basic_Korean_Vocabulary_List (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - LaLoche - 2010-03-03 My girlfriend is still waiting for her JLPT results. We're in Canada. Has everybody else in the world received theirs already? Should I be storming the gates of Canada Post Corporation? (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - ocircle - 2010-03-03 I received my certificate last week through the mail, but I live in the US. (this is an actual question. Translation? Foreign affairs? What?) Anyway, I'm off to buy my yardstick, and uninstalling Internet Explorer so I can't browse this forum extensively anymore (Firefox only gives me 10mins/day). I have studies to get to... Has she tried calling the institution where she wrote the test? They might already be able to tell her. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - Jarvik7 - 2010-03-04 I am also still waiting on my results and I'm in Japan. The website says results were mailed the first of last month. I guess mine got lost in the post and I should call them. (drum roll) JLPT RESULTS! - LaLoche - 2010-03-05 Thanks for the input, folks. Glad she's not the only one without results. We'll give it another week before storming the barricades. |
