Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - enf2k5 - 2013-08-09 Realism Wrote:Here is an EP for free download available at this rappers' blog. Link is in purple.Pretty good! Thanks for sharing. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - TheVinster - 2013-08-12 Realism Wrote:Sorry to ask this so late to my initial post, but do you know where I can find that particular album? Or if you can supply it? Thanks.TheVinster Wrote:This is a pretty big thread so I don't know where to look, but does anyone have access to songs by Ryuzo? I really like this song but he isn't on Jpopsuki.Ryuzo's first album "Document" is his best one, make sure you pick that one up as well. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-14 Ongaku Eternal has it, get it while you still can Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - s0apgun - 2013-08-15 Just gave it a listen. The production is really impressive on that album, however its not really my style. I prefer beats like Yotsukaido Nature, Maru, and DEJI. Can anyone recommend me artists similar to those that I might like? Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-17 Just listened to Simi Lab Maria's album, very disappointed, a couple of good songs but the production is just retarded at times, there were some weird abstract non-finished sounding beats in there. And she can't rap that well either Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2013-08-18 Realism Wrote:Just listened to Simi Lab Maria's album, very disappointed, a couple of good songs but the production is just retarded at times, there were some weird abstract non-finished sounding beats in there.Yeah, also if you pay attention to some of her lyrics, she comes off hella slutty at times I noticed. She can definitely do better. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2013-08-18 s0apgun Wrote:Just gave it a listen. The production is really impressive on that album, however its not really my style. They have electronic influence in some of their tracks, but they also have beats that sound like old fashioned hip-hop. Check the songs: A Prophet, Milkshake, Day for Night and Nos Dias Their first album (which is on the blog) better than their new album, though. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - s0apgun - 2013-08-18 That preview was dope! Thanks for the recommendation, its exactly what I was looking for man. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - kurohachi - 2013-08-18 Deji's 自問自答 is an amazing album. Just flatout amazing. I'll have to check out those LowPass and Ryuzo Document albums. Thanks for the recommendations yall! Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - s0apgun - 2013-08-18 Yeah! I love the tracks Fullmetal and 日曜日. Here's the music video for 日曜日 Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-19 s0apgun Wrote:Just gave it a listen. The production is really impressive on that album, however its not really my style. Especially Your Place, this song is amazing, can't stop listening to it. This is what the whole album should have been like.... Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - s0apgun - 2013-08-20 Dope! Thanks for the link. I posted up a fresh DL link for the album we were just talking about "LowPass - Where are you going?" on ongaku eternal if anyone is interested. @teriyakibob - sent you an e-mail Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - ryuudou - 2013-08-20 Realism Wrote:This is so good. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - s0apgun - 2013-08-20 Someone posted the DL link for LOWPASS - MIRRORZ today on ongaku eternal! Can't wait to listen. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - kurohachi - 2013-08-20 Good looks on that LowPass album, Where are You Going? is bonkers. Fantastic stuff, I get a Dilla/Little Brother vibe from it. Ryuzo Document and Primal A Sleeping Man are very good. Gotta check out that LowPass Mirrorz later. That Deji "Jimonjitou" album is just amazing, I listen to that album in its entirety at least once a day when I commute to/from work thus far. I really like how there are homages to earlier Japanese hip-hop in the scratches in the songs here and there (like hearing parts of the King Giddra and Naked Artz "Yume" tracks on the song "One Way") among other things. I initially downloaded, and then ended up getting it on Amazon mp3, might do the same w/ the LowPass one. Though I wish Amazon mp3 and itunes would have the digital booklets for these albums (I would like to have it to at least see if it has the lyrics, credits, and whatnot in there). Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2013-08-22 Realism Wrote:Especially Your Place, this song is amazing, can't stop listening to it.I don't know man, I'm not really feeling that album. Can't get into it. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-24 Another really good free mixtape by some rapper named SOHCH, he reminds me of Kreva in a way. http://sohch.bandcamp.com/album/free-805-project Free download at the link above. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-25 Anyone heard the new Primal album? Very disappointed based off the first listen. He can still rap his ass off and hasn't fallen off one bit, the problem is the production on the album is really atrocious at certain parts. There are some poppy-techno crap all over it. Gazilla's The Orizinal is so much better. EDIT: On second listen, this is a lot better, pretty decent now, although I still don't like those poppy beats and a few songs have some generic beats too. But overall it's a solid release. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - vgambit - 2013-08-27 Realism Wrote:Anyone heard the new Primal album?Bad beats make any song unlistenable for me. On the other hand, good beats can save wack lyrics. I don't really have the latter issue in J-Rap yet. That will soon change. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - kurohachi - 2013-08-27 I think the new Primal is decent, I wish he rejected some of those beats on there. The standout to me was the title track, Primal ripped that beat to shreds. Just fantastic, with the multis he spits at the end on the second verse. I keep that track on repeat. Honestly Primal rapping over horn/brass heavy beats is usually epic to me. Man, Deji is very good. Copped Heavyweight Tanks yesterday, this album is excellent. Going to keep digging through discography. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Realism - 2013-08-27 Haha, I started hating on that Primal album and now the more I listen to it the more I think it's one of the best albums of the year. It's growing on me like crazy. 共倒れ is one of the best songs of the year no doubt, that has to be a live band performing behind him. Somehow I skipped this song on my first listen for some odd reason. 血 is dope, so is 大久保Street, two of my favorite songs on the album. The only songs I really don't like is 武闘宣言 and that one with Satellite, that tracks are just boring. Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Crispy - 2013-08-28 Primal hinted at some new MSC currently underway, probably wouldn't get my hopes up just yet though. Anyone know where I should start? Only other track ive heard is Kan and Maki the Magic track off Kan's album. I heard that O2 album is good, maybe Ill check that out first. |
