Hoshiro, thanks for the link, but you probably shouldn't post any direct downloads here. If you want, I could send you an invitation to post on my blog, or you can post on your blog if you want.

As for the BEST OF JAPANESE HIP HOP vol.3-8, I have a friend who has vol. 4,5 and 7 but he hasn't posted them yet. I have Vol. 8 and the REMIX&ORIGINS (2 volumes) on the blog if you haven't gotten those yet.

And now to more links. Big Grin

ANARCHY, RINO, 漢 & MACCHO

(beat isn't anything special, but all rappers on the song are veterans and are nice on the mic)

DINARY DELTA FORCE - BED TOWN ANTHEM

(dope, this is probably the the best one out of all the links I posted in the past few days. I need this groups albums. They remind me of a modern day Naked Artz)

ISSUGI from MONJU

(This is one of the original versions of the video I posted earlier and equally as nice)

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Hoshiro - 2010-10-07

Ok if i can get access to posting in your blog it will be great cuz i dont wanna share music public for everyone like in my blog, only for big headz like you guys. It will be superb if you can get for me this vol. 4,5,7 and 8 . Yeah DINARY DELTA FORCE is very hot in Japan we must get their album its priority Smile So...i waiting for your mail from you Smile

Not sure if Kreva or someone posted this already:

Chinza Dopeness takes J-rap into 'alien' territory

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - vgambit - 2010-10-09

Soulseek is awful for j-rap. Filenames with unicode text in them (like kanji and kana) won't transfer.

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Hoshiro - 2010-10-09

vgambit maybe you know some other place to get j-rap ? i use utatane but dont have good server for it , I use slsk but there is only few ppl's whit j-rap

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - harhol - 2010-10-09

Google Blog Search is generally pretty reliable.

I agree with this. I have quite a few incomplete albums due to this problem as I tend to check soulseek at home when I leave the university on the weekends. I noticed that if you check at night when it's probable Japanese people in Japan will sign in, you tend to get more results. However, the worst thing is that most of my incomplete uploads are only missing one or two tracks because of that dreaded unicode/ascii problem! (How unlucky! lol)

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Hoshiro - 2010-10-09

KREVA can you tell me your nickname in soulseek ? please you will dont regret Smile my user nick is "hoshiro"

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2010-10-09

Hoshiro, I can't remember the name, but I'll let you know next time I go home and sign on.

YANZOO CYHPER vol.1 feat' ISH-ONE,AKLO,OJIBAH,FUKK,SAGGA

(Man, OJIBAH is showing those kids how to rap in Japanese. AKLO and ISH-ONE are okay, but OJIBAH flows fluently without use of English.)

Here's a track from one of the dudes from Origami (降神)。They are really, really good. Don't know why they aren't more well known though. The beats are some of the best I've ever heard, and they utilize a very inventive style of rapping.

They are by far my favorite Japanese hip hop group. If anyone knows anything more about them, please forward it to me or something..

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2010-10-13

^ I uploaded an album of theirs on the blog a while ago, but they don't have very many releases, so that's probably why they aren't well known.

Anybody hear the Jackin' 4 Beats remix yet?

I still love the original. The first time I listened to it I knew all the original songs the beats were taken from.

Some good beats in the remix though, you have a list of where they are from?

Oh nice! Any idea which one? I spent over a hundred bucks on amazon buying their CD's because I had no luck finding them online.

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2010-10-13

@mfpole: I think it was their self titled album. Over $100?! Wow, you must really like them. If I ever had 100 dollars to splurge on Japanese Hip-Hop, I would probably do the same. Smile

@Ryuujin27: Not sure where the instrumentals came from, but if you follow the links in the description section of the YouTube video, it will lead you to a myspace page where you can find a list of albums that the DJ has worked on.

It's true. It was a little excessive, but it was my birthday present to myself and totally worth it. They are so good.

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2010-11-08

Never heard of it. Whose CD is it?

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Hoshiro - 2010-11-08

This song is from KITAKANTOSKILLZ / 北関東スキルズ - ILLAKANTO VOL.3 from this year. Two guys on winmx have it but dont wanna trade

KREVA message me on soulseek my nickname is hoshiro

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - KREVA - 2010-11-08

I see.

I am at my university, so I won't risk using soulseek unless I am at home (as I believe the school can detect P2P programs), so sorry for that. I'll add you when I get a chance to use my CPU at home. If I can remember, my username was something like "ixa78", but that doesn't really matter since anything I was sharing there is likely already on the blog. haha

I think I remembered trying to download some music from a person by the username 'hoshiro', but I don't think I ever could download them. lol You should put some stuff up that you don't see on the blog. And thanks for what stuff you have contributed to the blog thus far. Smile

Me and a good buddy from this thread were exchanging emails when the topic was brought to Japanese hip-hop. Most of us in this thread have probably had a lot of time to go through many of the Japanese hip-hop albums that are on the blog or from other sources. What we want to know is what are your top 10 (or 15) LPs that you find yourself listening to all the time. The list should exclude compilations, Mini-LPs, and EPs. Even a list of 15 is kinda tough for me as there still many great albums missing from my list, but it should be enough to let us know what kind of hip-hop music each of us are playing. I'm interested in what you guys are listening to nowadays. Below is my list in no particular order. (NOTE: This is for people who found really good full-length LPs that they liked and are listening to them. Please don't post a list of separate tracks or EPs.)

1. (1995) キングギドラ 「空からの力」
2. (1996) SOUL SCREAM 「"THE DEEP"」
3. (1995) スチャダラパー 「5th WHEEL 2 the COACH」
4. (1996) YOU THE ROCK★ 「THE SOUND TRACK '96」
5. (1997) NAKED ARTZ 「浸透 ~Penetration」
6. (1997) SHAKKAZOMBIE 「HERO THE S.Z.」
7. (1999) RHYMESTER 「リスペクト」
8. (1999) THA BLUE HERB 「STILLING,STILL DREAMING」
9. (1995) MICROPHONE PAGER 「Don't Turn Off Your Light」
10.(1997) MICROPHONE PAGER 「MICROPHONE PAGER」
11. (1998) TWIGY 「AL-KHADIR」
12. (1998) ZEEBRA 「THE RHYME ANIMAL」
13. (1996) スチャダラパー 「偶然のアルバム」
14. (1998) スチャダラパー「fun-key LP」
15. (1997) K-DUB SHINE「現在時刻」

I wish you hadn't put so many restrictions on the lists. I have a serious problem finding J-Rap I like. I don't know if it counts, as it's a mix, but the group never actually put out an LP, so it'll have to do. Buddha Brand - Best of the Best.

It would take me some time to really figure out what full albums I like. The main issue is that out of 12+ tracks, I would enjoy maybe 3 songs. Out of your list, the stuff that jumps out at me is The Deep, Penetration, The Sound Track '96, Hero the S.Z., both Microphone Pager albums, and the King Giddra album.

Dope Japanese Hip-Hop - Shadeless - 2010-11-16

Seconding キングギドラ 「空からの力」, great stuff.

Don't know if this was posted before but it's worth checking out either way: http://www.youtube.com/user/mansanraps
