Adding a deck to ankimini - Oniichan - 2010-01-15 Tonight I installed ankimini on my phone so that I can practice sentences offline. The app appears to be working, but I can't figure out how to add my deck (a local deck). I tried just dragging it into the '.anki' folder on my iphone along with the media folder, but while it now appears as a local deck, I get this error message 'No Deck Opened!'. Isn't there a way to add a deck on my computer to my phone? Thanks Adding a deck to ankimini - Oniichan - 2010-01-16 Well, I figured it out with the help of Damien. First, I installed iphonebrowser on my pc and used it to transfer my media folder to [root] /var/mobile/.anki/. Then, it was just a matter of syncing the deck to the server from my pc and then configuring ankimini to access the same account. iphonebrowser works through a USB cable so no wifi was necessary for the media transfer. If you do need to transfer files using a wireless connection, the following page has an excellent tutorial about using WinSCP. http://www.iphoneheat.com/2009/09/how-to-ssh-into-iphone-ipod-touch-using-winscp/ Thanks to all who took the time to read my post. |
