RTK3 mistake? 蔑 - Daimie - 2010-01-01 revile 蔑 (2390) seems to have 戍 instead of 戌 (march) although default japanese fonts are showing 戌 in it. (By the way the kanji stroke order font shows incorrectly 戌 for 襪 but correctly 戍 for 韈. There's also 韤 in jis x 0212. However none of these are not really used in Japanese.) Any other known errors with primitives in RTK not found in erratas? RTK3 mistake? 蔑 - kapalama - 2010-01-01 Non- native fonts always show things things differently. (For the record, the native fonts are showing the down stroke and the unicode are showing it as horizontal on my computer). Where are the RTK errata pages? I have found several mistakes in RTK3. RTK3 mistake? 蔑 - Katsuo - 2010-01-01 OK, I just added the following note to the study page on this site: "Whether you see a "drop" or a "one" in the bottom left of 蔑 depends on the font your computer is using at the time. Newer fonts prefer the "one"." My copy of RTK3 (1st Ed.) has a "drop" and calls the primitive "march", so it would be useful if the book included a note about the discrepancy. kapalama Wrote:Where are the RTK errata pages? I have found several mistakes in RTK3.Have you seen the notes we made on RTK3 here? The author added most of them to the errata (available here). (Incidentally, have you noticed that 戌 "Sign of the Dog" (march) is the only "Sign of the XXX" kanji that doesn't get it's own entry in RTK1.) If we have other errors, where should we post about them? Also it may be helpful to post a note on the relevant study page if nobody else has already done so. |
