How about a thread where we can post text (long or short) where we think there is "value" in sharing. If anyone decides to post, perhaps we should include the source? Also, I would suggest that translations are out, perhaps we can share the joy of 'guessing meaning from context'.
Anyway, to get the ball rolling on page 187 of 「親指さがし」 by 山田・悠介（やまだ・ゆうすけ） there was a a line:
「部屋に入って枕に顔を埋める」
The vibe is that the character is a bit sad/depressed. So can you guess what 「枕」 means?
If you want to check, it's frame 2472.

Curiosity got the better of me. And I'm wrong on 2 counts!
They are both transitive readings but used in different ways. In this case うずめる is the way to read it. Damn!

they are both transitive.
but they do have different meanings
うめる means to literally put something into a hole and bury it.
eg. bury a pot in the garden
うずめる has a vibe that something is not necessarily put into a hole to cover it up, but (as in this case) use something else to complete cover up any trace of it's existence.
e.g. cover (bury) your whole body in a blanket.
