Heisig's list of primitives with core meanings - squarezebra - 2009-12-06 Hi, there was a request for this a long while ago (2007 infact) and I'm still not sure if anyone created it. Anyhow, I thought i'd find it useful so I took Heisig's primitive index from the back off book one and created a new WordDoc with the primitives listed along with core meanings. I've stuck mine on my wall for easy reference. This may or may not be useful for you. Some of the primitives in Heisig's book were referenced incorrectly, and some are plainly not mentioned. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes if you decide to use this. I apologise if someone has already done this in advance; I couldn't find it anyway. Here is them listed by stroke as in Heisig's index with meanings http://www.docstoc.com/docs/18639371/heisigs-primitive-list-with-core-meanings And here is them again ordered as they appear in his book with page numbers http://www.docstoc.com/docs/18642595/Heisigs-primitives-ordered Heisig's list of primitives with core meanings - yorkii - 2010-11-15 I know I am totally necroing this thread, but I would like to say thanks for this resource. I am giving a presentation on the use of Heisig to learn Japanese in a couple of weeks and this is JUST what I was looking for.
