Since it seems to focus on small children, it seems less than useful. The Japanese would be filled with errors. (Obviously, you could cut it in half and just use the grown-up Japanese, but that would sorta limit the usefulness of the corpus regardless.)

I think it could be used from the 'learn as a child learns' viewpoint and watching the errors be corrected, but it does seem there are much more efficient ways to learn than that.

Ah, I wasn't sure how focused it was on children's dialogue. I skimmed through that .pdf, I do like the idea of them outlining these tools for expanded use in the future. Seems like a step in the right direction towards other conversations we've had about 'natural' sources.
