JGram: is it still being maintained? - totsubo - 2009-11-30

I've been using http://www.JGram.org to help with my JLPT study, it's been very helpful. However there seem to be some technical problems with site's online forms for submitting new entries, adding comments, or even just sending feedback.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Perhaps the site is no longer being maintained?

I just made an account so I could review the 3JLPT but there are 40 "JLPT 4" and "JLPT3"grammar terms I don't know. The website doesn't seem tructworthy to me...but this may be becasue there were no instructions or introduction to the website. It's just a list that anyone can post.

(Sorry for necromancing another post.)

I was thinking I making/working on making my own JLPT/grammer deck. Just to the useful stuff/break it down, understand grammar points. So I can review the basics, etc.(For all JLPT levels, 4 to 1.(I think there is 5 levels now, But it won't take long for me personally, I'll go up to everything expect level 1) I didn't really formally study grammar. But if it can help me advance to the next level, I'll honestly put the effort into it.

Cool, I was hoping there would be a site with all the JLPT4-3 grammar points. Where are you getting the information you are making a deck out of (if any)?

Researching stuff(sites, etc), but I'm thinking of tuning it towards my way of learning, etc. So let's say we have a grammar point, I'll have a sentence that it's used in context. It's just to help me better understand more context, etc. Breaking it down, just understanding-wise. It will help me in general for understanding more of the in-depth(news) stuff if I go over the basics.

haha, RTK 3 I'll be done by next week. After that I think I'll take a few months before adding more kanji slowly. (i just noticed that my kanji deck, includes on-yomi readings, which is awesome. Going to enable it, so it can just act as a reminder for the readings)

If you find any websites for JLPT grammar or have any suggestions on how to study it. I'm all ears, cuz I seriously want to go over that stuff. As it can help me improve a lot.

There are lists here http://www.tanos.co.uk/jlpt/skills/grammar/sentences/ but I dont know how accurate they are.

You can't go wrong the UNICOM books:

http://www.unicom-lra.co.jp/ja/ja.html

after I've studied some grammar points I look out for them in books/manga/drama and then add those sentences to anki.

Thanks for all the unrelated post, but no one's answered my original question Sad

Awesome, thanks, bookmarked both.

Totsubo, some of the website is down...and frankly I don't care.
http://www.tanos.co.uk/jlpt/skills/grammar/sentences/
This is much better. It's just the examples with English.

I'd watch out with those sample sentences. They're using the notorious Tanaka corpus. The "grammar usage" notes are from Kanzen Master, so those are legit, but it's the example sentences to be wary about.

Yeah, same problem with feedback, comments etc. I tried to mail them about it but that didn't work either.
I'm a big fan of the site, and I use it in conjunction with other more hard reference like the Dictionary of Advanced Japanese Grammar & Kanzen Master as a rounded approach....

ANYWAY - the site just went down while I was using it. 4 days before the JLPT..... comeonnnnn!!! Anyone know anything?!

I imagine Tae Kim is still maintaining JGram, as I've seen him active lately. He finished his Guide to Japanese not that long ago. I second another user here, though -- I don't find the site to be reliable. Even when you look at an entry, you can see posters find among one another. I honestly almost never seen an entry that does not have some kind of argument or questioning of example veracity going on.
