I looked up a dictionary to find some words which include the kanjis for Heisigs fat & obese - trying to know the difference.

well, looking for word which contain "fat" I found this kanjii and did not want to believe what I saw:

雲脂

rain + fat = dandruff

OMG
how gross is that! :-o

btw: many many kanjis are a combination of fat and obese such as :
脂肪心しぼうしん fatty heart

I would probably look at 脂 in those sorts of words as being more in the sense of 'biological resin'...

脂肪 is the normal word for "fat" (as a noun, not an adjective), so you will find many words with "combination of fat and obese".

For me the keyword "fat" has the connotation of a well-marbled steak,

while "obese" more calls to mind someone who'd have to ride this:

Never had a problem confusing the two.

yes, it is cloud, not rain.

now i can remember it even better. ... the fat-cloud covering the communter's shoulders next to me in the train, his head between the cloud like the top of fuji-san whatever ....
