Silverspoon stories (please share 'em if you have 'em!) - Surreal - 2012-08-17

Note: This thread is not meant for discussing either AJATT, its marketing practices or its "Silverspoon" product unless you've used it yourself. There have been plenty of threads about that in the past and if you want to know more about it, please do a forum search. If you REALLY REALLY want to dredge it up once again please create another thread so that this thread will remain uncluttered.

AJATT started offering the Silverspoon product April 30, 2011 2012 (thanks blackbrich) http://www.alljapaneseallthetime.com/blog/you-will-be-fluent-in-japanese-595-days-from-now-let-me-take-you-there At the time there was much discussion about it, but it seems like the discussion has died off since then. Now that almost 16 months have passed since its inception I, and probably a fair amount of others here, would like to hear from people who have used it for a long time(say 4+ months). Has it helped? Was it what you expected? Was it worth it to you? Did you feel that the expectations of you as a learner(regarding time and money spent on learning, etc.) were reasonable/too high/too low? Do you feel confident about reaching the 595 days end goals that AJATT specified? It would be highly appreciated if you also specify for how long you have been using Silverspoon, as that makes a big difference. Of course, if you want to talk about that too, we're also interested in knowing what your learning experience has been like aside from only the parts that have to do with Silverspoon.

Please share with us your story so that all learners can learn from it, and so that potential Silverspoon users can have a better idea of what they are getting into.

Everyone who aren't/haven't been long-time Silverspoon users, please only post in this thread to link to blogs/forum threads etc. where Silverspoon users are talking about their experience or to thank those who share their stories. If you feel that the stories that come up here warrant discussion, please create a separate thread for that. Moreover, please refrain from being aggressive toward/overly critical of anyone who shares their story no matter where you post, they are doing everyone a favor.

Thank you!

(I do realize that this thread might not take off at all, and if so that's fine)
