Google Wave Invites - Grinkers - 2009-12-21

I have to say I was pretty underwhelmed. Wave was completely usable for me. I have an AMD 64 X2 2000MHz, and Wave made firefox start using 100% of my CPU power, and it took 5-10 seconds just to have the scroll button move a page down one click.

I'm guessing it's something to do with being on a Linux system, but I don't have problems on other websites, including video flash. Oh well!

So this thing has real-time typing, no? You can see what the other person is typing as they type, I mean. Bet that pressure could be interesting for Japanese! As a feature in general, that is. Do other programs have this? This article: http://www.slate.com/id/2232311/ talks about how it's a proud aspect the programmers put in, as if somehow new, and they complain about it, but I seem to recall this being common on ICQ (perhaps before ICQ 'went mainstream').
