Need ideas for my 8 year old niece's christmas present. - jacf29 - 2009-10-29
I want to get her some stuff from Japan (even though I don't move back there until January). So I will buy off of Ebay.
Any ideas? She is 8 years old and likes science stuff. I am soo proud of my earlier influences on her. All that watching of Gibli movies with her payed off. She lives in San Francisco and her best friend is now Japanese haha.
Maybe I could get her some stuff to learn Japanese, but only if its done in an absolutely fun way.

Get her some adorable anime (Lucky Star? More Ghibli films?) or those "Jimmy" books on learning hiragana and katakana.
That's so cute. If I ever have children... I hope they're adorable and very adept at learning.
