Streaming internet radio? - suffah - 2007-03-05 Can anyone provide some links with streaming internet radio? Preferably talk shows only, no music. I can't believe there are no Japanese radio stations here in Los Angeles, unless I'm bad at searching. They have 2 Mandarin, 1 Vietnamese, and a couple of Korean stations it seems like, but I can't seem to find any Japanese ones. Thanks guys. Streaming internet radio? - taijuando - 2007-03-05 this is a great list but can someone guide me to some "good" radio...I'd like to hear some music.... I just hit play buttons and get talk radio....help Streaming internet radio? - Ricardo - 2007-03-06 Hmm... what's "good" radio? J-Pop? Anime music? If that's the case, maybe you can try Japan-A-Radio... Some of the links I posted surely points to several radios. Unfortunately some pages have a lot of broken links... my only tip would be for you to try them all (and share the results of what works with us)... ;-) Streaming internet radio? - ファブリス - 2007-03-06 I really enjoyed AMIDARA Radio. It's been a few months since I couldn't get a good streaming for it, fortunately I had saved everything locally as mp3's, it looped after about 4hours and 226mb. It's always the same playlist. But there's plenty of chatting between the performances, which is really fun to listen to. The songs are really catchy. Streaming internet radio? - dilandau23 - 2007-03-06 Well for music I would recommend Last.fm. For me, this is salvation from J-pop, however, for those who actually like J-pop, it is very good too. One thing I like about it is that it helps you to discover new music. In fact I can't recommend Last.fm enough. If it were not for Heisig, Fabrice, and (i don't know) Stephen Hawking, I would say that it is the best thing ever. I also recommend downloading the actual application for using the radio features; its not necessary though. Streaming internet radio? - wrightak - 2007-03-07 I'll admit that I've only been through a few of the links above but if anyone knows of where to download radio broadcasts in mp3 format rather than streaming then that would be great. I'd like to stick it in my phone and listen to it while travelling. Also, I've been using iTunes to download podcasts. There's a huge collection of radio and TV. Streaming internet radio? - erlog - 2007-03-07 I wrote an article here about Japanese talk podcasts that I listen to. Some of you trying to sift through the deluge of stuff on iTunes will find it useful. Streaming internet radio? - suffah - 2007-03-08 I'm gonna give some of those a try, thanks erlog. Streaming internet radio? - ikmys - 2007-04-18 I have my car radio set to 82.5 which is FM Northwave, a Hokkaido-wide station that originates in Hakodate if I remember right. They actually have a fair number of foreign guests on in the mornings, and the standard inane DJ banter in the afternoon that I learned to loathe while in the US. The upside is that they speak VERY clearly, enunciation being so critical to their job, that listening is easy, and good vocab practice. I am not sure if they have a stream, but I will see what I can find. |
