Food/Cooking Anki Deck? - kodorakun - 2012-07-23
Hi All,
Is there any interest in trying to setup a community-created anki deck that covers basic cooking and meal preparation terms, along with food items and meals? I've always thought studying restaurant menus to be a bit dull, and most of my food knowledge has come via osmosis over the years, but maybe it would be fun to create an anki deck that everyone could help out with, especially those that live in Japan or near good Japanese restaurants.
I was thinking we could have a deck template that is just the meal or menu item name (i.e. realistic context as to how you might see it on a sign board or menu), then the answer side could have option information like category of food, main ingredient, country region, and a picture.
I've thought about trying to slowly create this deck myself but I figure with a few collaborators we could get a lot of coverage pretty quickly. The only caveat is I have never setup the whole shared deck contribution thing and am not sure what the best way to get a group project like this going.
