Addicted to Densha De Go! - mezbup - 2009-09-28 In light of recent discussions about games as a learning tool the idea to use travel related games to learn travel terminology sprung up. I have since found Densha De Go! for PSP and well... it's largely addictive and it's working really well! It's a train simulator, simulating the yamanote line in Tokyo. There's quite a lot to it and it even includes all of the announcements you hear on the train! Play this game enough and I'm sure you'll learn everything you need to know for taking the train ![]() I'd like to hear what sim/"non games" you guys have or have played that are useful in teaching you specific areas of language. Addicted to Densha De Go! - albion - 2009-09-28 I have カブトレ, a DS stock trading game/trainer. http://www.konami.jp/kabutore/kabutore/index.html I must have gotten stuck or distracted, because I haven't played it for a while now. But it's aimed at beginners, so there's a glossary explaining terms and it's basically a series of tutorials on stock trading set around a game (make so-much-amount of money), so if I you wanted to learn about that field in Japanese it seems like a good start. Personally, I just wanted money. Addicted to Densha De Go! - mezbup - 2009-09-28 albion Wrote:I have カブトレ, a DS stock trading game/trainer.In a retarded way i'd find that fun. I'll look into it.
