I need another lifetime to experience it all over again.woodwojr Wrote:Man, there's some translation noise. Opening scene, voiceover of Mary reading the letter says "You promised you'd take me back there, but you never did", with what I believe to be a distinctly (if mildly) reproachful tone. The Japanese subtitling, in contrast, is, "私のせいでかなわなかった".You have no idea how things get lost in translation in this game. Just wait until Eddie appears... Makes you wonder about all those translations we've been playing to all along. Though in all honesty I don't which stems from which in the case of SH2, Japanese from English or English from Japanese. Silent Hill - mentat_kgs - 2009-09-24 I got devil may cry 4 yesterday and shamelessly it doesn't have any option to put the audio or the text in Japanese. I really don't recommend the English version. Same for Heavenly sword. You can choose between many European languages, but not Japanese. Really sad, because I played the demo in Jap and the dub was awesome. Ah, Ninja Gaiden Sigma can be set to both text AND audio to be in Japanese. Also it is a much better game than both Heavenly Sword and Devil May Cry. 9 out of 10 in the mentat scale. In the options menu for the PS3 version though, you can definitely switch both the audio and text to Japanese, and even make circle the "select" button instead of cross. Silent Hill - chamcham - 2009-09-24 Blazblue has Japanese text AND audio. I own the PS3 version. I can't count the number of times I've accidentally cancelled things because the confirm button wasn't circle. (But even Japanese games use X for confirm on my console.) Silent Hill - woodwojr - 2009-09-25 It gets worse: I picked up the first three Biohazard games off of PSN, so now I have three different confirm/cancel combinations to keep straight. Square-confirm/X-or-O-cancel: Biohazard I and II (and presumably III) off PSN/J O-confirm/X-cancel: other PSN/J titles X-confirm/O-cancel: disc-based titles, even Japanese ones ~J Silent Hill - ruiner - 2009-09-26 woodwojr Wrote:Life is an 鬱ゲー.
