Cangy, that's great. I think I have the list up on Google, but my connection is bad in my room. I'll have to try to put the list up at my office.

Basically, it'll be Core series vocabulary split into batch of 400, 1600, 2000, and 2000. Any words that are all kana will be spread evenly throughout respective batches after sorting.

With that, I can add a column in the Google spreadsheet called "preferred order" that people can sort by, then import into Anki in that order.

Personally I have a notebook in which I write down the words I need to look up when reading (not in front of the computer, or I would add them directly) and then when adding new material to my SRS I use words from that list first. However, when I have added all the words from that or when I don't have as much time available, I add from the core 6000 list directly (or from KO2001).

To be honest, I kind of tuned out a lot of talk about c6k on the forum--has anyone tried out the 漢検 order here? http://smart.fm/users/chewtoy#lists

I thought a little about this thread.
Why not using the sentences from A Dictionary of Advanced Japanese Grammar and the Basic and Intermediate one. In Anki are nearly 10,000 sentences of this books. They would be fantastic with spoken audio.

In this forum is a sentences collection from 'a dictionary of basic japanese sentence patterns. I don't know how much sentences are in there, but it would be also useful with audio.

Only thing is, these audio files should not be given to people, who didn't bought the books.

But personally, I'm in the middle of Core6000 with 12000 Cards, so it will need a long time to study it and after it I have will start KO2001 and try to learn Kanji again with Heisig Lite or KanjiABC Lite.

IMHO KO2001 is not worth doing. The sentences are way too long for an SRS.
