IWGP group transcription - IceCream - 2009-08-29
maybe i shouldn't post another one of these in case no-one's interested in the idea, but did a bit of this yesterday, may as well post what i did. it's quite a different type of drama, more heavy, more slang, etc. It's worse sound quality than atashinchi, because it's older, but a really quality drama. Again, couldn't find it on dramanote...
So here's how it can work:
* A person writes a post saying they are doing the next bit.
* They then do however much they like, a few lines, a few minutes, however much they want.
* However, they must post within 24 hours of claiming the next bit. Once they post, their bit is considered finished, and someone else can claim.
* It doesn't have to be perfect, so don't worry if you find it hard. The main thing is to try!! Put ____ if you can't work out a word, sentence, whatever.
* Once someone has posted a bit, other people can help correct mistakes, fill in blanks, etc.
* Anyone interested in improving their translation skills is also welcome to post an english translation, or word for word translation etc. Anyone who is learning english can say so, and we can help correct their english too.
* Basically, this is supposed to be NOT A CHORE. It's a kind of do however much you want whenever you feel like it sort of thing. We can all help each other out, and hopefully learn some stuff, improve our listening and grammar skills etc...
* Therefore, it's about the doing it itself that is important, and NOT the result. Anyone should be able to pick up and do a few lines, and not worry about how many blanks there are. But, if enough people get into doing it and helping correct it, we can turn it into a subs2srs deck once we finish.

Ok wow that was a lot harder than I expected to try and transcribe it, so most of that is very inaccurate. The red bits are the areas I'm really, really unsure of. Everything else I'm just unsure of >_>

Why not get the script and compare? Doing a transcript and then correcting it with the script would be a good exercise.

I'm not downing the effort of the thread, it's that I got burned out on transcription with the sentence mining projects from last year so I won't be participating.
