Switch RTK to RTK lite - jino123 - 2009-08-27 Hi all! I've learned exactly 655 Kanji. But natsuyasumi is ending and school is about to start. So I'll have not enough free time. Can I easly switch to RTK lite? How? Switch RTK to RTK lite - dizmox - 2009-08-29 Anyone can find 30 minutes or an hour out of their day. I'm sure you can make time. Just do less a day. Switch RTK to RTK lite - Nukemarine - 2009-08-29 Jino, since you're not that far into RTK and likely not have a large spacing already built up, just do the switch from the start to RTK Lite. You'll go fast at first since you're covering ground already tread. Switch RTK to RTK lite - bombpersons - 2009-08-29 You won't have enough time? Because of school? Do your reviews in the morning, and add as many as you can when you get back from school. You'll be done in no time. Switch RTK to RTK lite - thurd - 2009-08-30 I don't want to brag but I did finish RTK1 in under 2 months with a full-time job so I can't imagine you will have less time then that. Also, it's really really worth it. Once you start reading real Japanese it just 'clicks'. Switch RTK to RTK lite - jino123 - 2009-08-31 mmmm Ok you persuaded me! I'll try to go on with the RTK1, but maybe I'll be slower. After school I have to study and to go out. Girlfriend, friends, judo ecc.... Anyway, thanks for replying! Switch RTK to RTK lite - blackmacros - 2009-08-31 Get up an hour earlier each day and you'll have plenty of time to get it done. Plus you'll start off the day on a good foot, and feel really productive the rest of the day. Switch RTK to RTK lite - woelpad - 2009-08-31 To answer the original question: You can either install the Alter Sequence Greasemonkey script in Firefox, click the My Profile tab on kanji.koohii.com, select RTK Lite from the dropdown box in the Greasemonkey settings and set or leave the starting frame to the frame you're currently at; or if you're reviewing in Anki suspend all non-Lite cards following the one you're now at. Scuda and Thora made RTKLite or RTKLite tagged Anki decks if that can be of help. I'd be a zombie Thanks wolepad, you helped me Switch RTK to RTK lite - Koos83 - 2009-09-02 Some people seem to think some jobs (or schools) demand none of your time before or after you go there. As for me; I'm knackered by the time I get home from my job. Some jobs (like teaching) demand you to be focused constantly (and I mean constantly, no slacking off for 5 minutes with 30 teenagers in the room) for up to 7 hours a day. I'd like to see some of you try it. Try not to make anyone feel guilty or self-conscious for not being able to do more than 10 kanji a day, if they're lucky, or finish the book in a few months. Switch RTK to RTK lite - YogaSpirit - 2009-10-09 Koos83, I totally agree with you. When I come back from a hard-day of work in the office, I have no more energy than a floorcloth. I hate that, but sometime, there is no bypass even with the strongest will in the world. I go up to burn myself sometime, which is not good, healthwise speaking. Switch RTK to RTK lite - Koos83 - 2009-10-09 Thanks, YogaSpirit. I get kind of frustrated when I want to learn more kanji but my brain just won't cooperate. XD I try not to let it affect me too much, though. That can't be good. I'll just go at the pace I'm going at, which is very slow.
Switch RTK to RTK lite - Musashi - 2009-10-09 Just remember, never study when you're tired, you can study for 3 hours straight but nothing will stick, I mean we all 'want' but we have to consider 'can'. Gewoon lekker in je eigen tijd doen Koos83, er is anders geen haast toch?
Switch RTK to RTK lite - Nisshawn - 2009-10-09 just a quick question...im currently on 970 normal RTK and I wanted to switch to RTK Lite to knock them all out first, but when i switched to RTK lite i was getting a bunch of Kanji in the other review boxes that I never reviewed once?? So I don't even try; it's a waste of time when I'm too tired. But I am on a bit of a schedule since I want to start learning sentences before my holiday to Japan next August. I do hope to have finished RTK by then. XD Switch RTK to RTK lite - sdntx - 2009-10-10 What's RTK Lite? >_> Sorry, dumb question, I know. Switch RTK to RTK lite - peterm - 2009-10-16 RTK Lite is a sequence of Heisig frames devised by Woelpad and based on the JLPT2 list (1100) plus 92 additional kanji which act as primitives. In other words it is a cut down more manageable version of RTK which may suit your particular circumstances. More information is available in a thread under Feedback entitled "A RevTK lite option" or something similar. Woelpad has given instructions above about implementing this version if it interests you. Switch RTK to RTK lite - peterm - 2009-10-20 Just a minor correction. The RTK lite list is in fact 1023 plus 92. The 1100 refers to the KO 2001 list which is another available option. Is this normalNo. Check on the Profile page that RTK Lite has been selected and that the number in the text box next to it (starting after frame#) equals the last frame number that you had added before the switch, in your case 970. |
