Anki, Smart.FM, Tae Kim and an online media URL - Nukemarine - 2009-09-01

Ok, is there anywhere online where we all can use common media files for the common lists we're all using when studying with Anki Online?

The obvious lists I'm talking about are Smart.FM lists for either Core 2000 and 6000 or K02001 list. Is there a place in the Web 2.0 where we can place these media files that any and all can access via Anki when studying online?

For some reason, I think it already exists, and I forgot to read the memo.

In that same vein, and I'm only thinking of this cause I looked into using AnkiOnline again due to work restrictions, can there a common deck option?

I'm not talking about shared decks. Here's my thinking: Master spreadsheet database (similar to the google sheets I posted) that has detailed items per fact. The only thing your anki deck would really need is the identifier to that fact. You just choose which items in that fact you want to use on each side of the card, and how many types of cards are using the fact.

This of course would not for personalized lists where you're adding your own flavors. But for many of us, I think we're using a lot of the same lists. Seems a bit silly of Damien to store the same data multiple places when we could all be drawing it from the same place. Sort of a Anki version of Smart.FM, but in a cooler option filled way.

Sorry, just thinking outloud on the internet. Dangerous, I know.

Yeah I wish anki and smart.fm collaborated because it would make it much better. I like the layout of smart.fm, but feel anki is better for long term memorization, and the fact that you dont need internet for anki is good too. Right now I use both and feel like I'm not utilizing my time to the best of my ability.
