Hello, I'm looking for easy-to-read games and manga to practice my basic japanese (I'm a beginner). I've been recommended to read some doraemon manga. Do you know any?

Toloveる is really easy to read. It's the first manga I read in Japanese, and I still read it every week =P Lot's of fanservice (the art is really nice) and lot's of easy dialogue =D

Zelda, the Phantom Hourglass is the nicest game to start.
I don't know about manga. They are all too slangy, which I found hard to overcome in the beginning. I'd start with the one you like most.

Zelda, Inazuma Eleven, Dragon Quest 9 all have Furigana iirc. Pretty nice for beginners. It also depends what you enjoy the most. For example I enjoyed Phoenix Wright even though there was unknown vocabulary all the damn time back then.
I personally think Doraemon is pretty boring, but you should probably just try and read a volume, then you'll know if it's the right thing for you.

However, I wouldn't recommend it without having finished RTK. I say this only because I was playing it pre-RTK and it was often hard to look up the kanji even with my Kanji Sonomama dictionary, merely because the resolution was too small to see it well. If you have a familiarity with the kanji however, which RTK provides, it would be great.
At any rate, it's a great game to this very day.
As for manga, I think the people who say Doraemon are making a good suggestion. Even though it's for kids it doesn't make you want to shoot yourself when you read it. It's all little 1-10 page stories that end with cheezy jokes, which can be fun. I enjoyed it for cultural reasons. It's a good example of the vastly different way that robots are portrayed in the Japanese media--and it's the prime example since it's been so popular with such a wide audience (that is, of course, that autonomous robots are usually portrayed negatively in American/English media, but positively in the Japanese media). It's also a good example of how WAY different humor is acceptable for kids in Japan. As the wikipedia page for the Non-Japanese Doraemon Versions says: "they had plans to publish the manga in English in the early 1990s, but due to the large amount of crude humor, and perverted moments that would have to be censored (one example being the numerous bath scenes featuring the female character, Shizuka), the license was eventually dropped."

You can actually start pretty much any game that has a walkthrough or translation guide floating around. Scripts are even better, games like Chrono Trigger and other Square stuff has some of those floating around.

There's also lots of Japanese walkthroughs around.. just in case some people favor immersion over speed when looking up stuff.

I too wanted to read manga. I don't know were to buy it though. Do you know any UK selling site that sends to other european countries? I'd love to read Doraemon...I spent my chidhood watching that in spanish.
Do you know any website were I can print it? Or other mangas?
