japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2009-08-10 Edit: http://ja-dark.tumblr.com/post/138827446872/re-uploads I figured it'd be better to make a separate thread for this, as we have one for 'Exact Japanese subs for dramas and anime' via shakkun: http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=1639 . The following are mostly in .idx/.sub format, compatible with subs2srs. The information for what rip of the film you need is in the titles (in other words, they have the same title as the video file). You can get these many places online. Just Google for the film/video title followed by your favourite third party download site. The English subtitles can be obtained likewise, or at kloofy.net (edit: kloofy appears to be un-updated since December 2010, but I believe http://subscene.com/ contains many subtitles that would've went to kloofy). Here's the file list (62 in total). 10 promises to my dog 20th century boys 252 signal of life ai no rukeichi akumu tantei (nightmare detective) be a man samurai school chameleon coffee jikou crows zero cyborg girl dear friends departures detroit metal city even if you walk and walk gegege no kitaro god's puzzle goemon happy flight haze (shinya tsukamoto) heavenly forest hebi ni piasu i remember the sky ichi kaidan kami no hidarite, akuma no migite (god's left hand, devil's right hand) koshonin mashita masayoshi (negotiator) maboroshi no yamataikoku mamiya kyodai (the mamiya brothers) otoshimono (ghost train) outrage paco and the magical picture book pandemic piano forest postman resident evil: degeneration sakuran school days with a pig shikyu no kioku space battleship yamato stormy night summer days with coo suspect x sweet rain the black swindler the cherry orchard the funeral the fure fure girl the girl who cut time (1983) the graduates the homeless student the last princess the magic hour the matsugane potshot affair the seaside motel the sword of alexander tokumei kakaricho tadano hitoshi the movie tsukiji uogashi sandaime umizaru vexille welcome to the quiet room zebraman 2 zen The following are via @howtosavealif3: toki wo kakeru shoujo (2010) liar game (movie) my darling is a foreigner (movie) nodame cantabile movies 1 & 2, The.Triumphant.General.Rouge.(2009) And don't forget you can get others from here: http://project-modelino.com/movies.php?site_language=russian&learn_language=japanese And these are sorted poorly, but a number of English shows/films with Japanese subtitles were here last I checked: http://www.subs.to/subtitles/32/A/ Batch II (12 subtitles): 13 assassins* air doll akai ito (threads of destiny) akunin (villain) fireworks from the heart hanamizuki heaven's door high kick girl oto na ri partners raiou (the lightning tree) surely someday *Very poor quality OCR of 13 Assassins was all I could procure. If you can find the zdzdz version of 13 Assassins (which is the complete version rather than the mutilated American version, from what I've gathered) and want to extract the .idx/.sub (with this demux/GUI suite: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVExtractGUI-2), that'd be useful. Batch III (5 subtitles) Box Gantz Nana to Kaoru The Code Umizaru 3: The Last Message This will be the last batch from me, I think. I'll eventually recompile all into one large batch again. The zdzdz releases generally feature Japanese .idx/.sub files in the .mkv, which you may extract with the aforementioned tool(s), if you have such .mkv files (for ah, public domain Japanese movies). (Here's the links again, just make sure the GUI is in the same folder as the mkvtoolnix stuff: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnix and http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVExtractGUI-2 - It only takes a few seconds, according to my friend's friend who uses these with public domain .mkv files). Added a .idx/.sub version of 13 Assassins so no need to rely on the terrible OCR'd .srt; judging by the runtime, I believe this (Zoo's version) is also the full rather than Americanized version: japanese subtitles for films - Zorlee - 2009-08-10 THANK YOU!!! <3
japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2009-08-10 No problem. Too bad I'm too lazy to make decks out of them at the moment. japanese subtitles for films - RobotsAnger - 2009-08-10 Amazing thanks! japanese subtitles for films - nac_est - 2009-08-11 Thank you very much! Are those movies all recommendations? japanese subtitles for films - liosama - 2009-08-11 I wouldn't recommend Heavenly forest, suspect x. From memory I think I remember the sky was shit too. japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2009-08-11 nac_est Wrote:Thank you very much! Are those movies all recommendations?I haven't seen most of these! They just popped up in my searches. I would safely recommend Crows Zero to just about anyone, though. Coffee Jikou is one of my favourite movies, but I rarely recommend it. japanese subtitles for films - mezbup - 2009-08-11 Having subs is all well and good but I how can I get the movies? japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2009-08-11 mezbup Wrote:Having subs is all well and good but I how can I get the movies?Try Googling the titles (of the subtitle files). Plenty of torrents and I'm impressed at how many 'movie blogs' there are with links to Asian films archived at hotfile and netload and suchlike. (Back in the day this was rare). Personally, I always use ed2k for Japanese films. I stopped getting them from Usenet because I'm lazy, plus I think those aforementioned bloggers tend to upload them soon after getting them from Usenet/FTP anyway. I mean um, ah, where do you get the movies? Why, you buy them legitimately of course! Then you rip them and synch the subtitles to the rip. Yep.... ;p japanese subtitles for films - mygbmygb - 2010-02-05 Im late but thanks for the subtitles. Especially Kaidan. I was Looking for subtitles for this for a long time now and could not find japanese ones. Do you happen to have 七人の侍 japanese subtitles? thanks. japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-02-05 mygbmygb Wrote:Im late but thanks for the subtitles. Especially Kaidan. I don't have Seven Samurai j-subs, but surely, with such an old classic, they're out there someplace? Or at least the transcript... By the way, that might be a different Kaidan from the one you're possibly thinking of (the older one which is a great film), but I guess after you see the file name you'll realize if it's correct or not. This is the newer Hideo Nakata movie. japanese subtitles for films - ta12121 - 2010-02-05 Hmm i have the dvd for 1 litre of tears(1リットルの涙), in japanese of course. I could extract all the subtitles if people want? Actually i need to check up if my dvd+cd player is working on my pc, it's been having troubles lately. Anyhow i can probably get all the extact subtitles, but i won't translate it. Just so lazy. (This is for the tv show, that was i think 10-11 episodes. Not the film, the film is a different thing) japanese subtitles for films - mygbmygb - 2010-02-06 nest0r Wrote:Ah yes, you're right, I have the Kaidan from 1964.mygbmygb Wrote:Im late but thanks for the subtitles. japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-02-06 Since we're talking of some older films, it'd be nice to have Japanese subtitles for Ozu as well. japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-02-27 Here are 7 more sub files I procured from subs.to -- I would have just linked to that site, but only these that I saw and checked were actually Japanese, the rest were simply stuck in the Japanese language section because the audio was Japanese... I was a bit lazy with these and didn't rename them to coincide with the source release title (i.e. the group/version). Those aren't even always listed at subs.to, but some of them are: http://www.subs.to/subtitles/32/A/ -- With the option to use English subtitle timing and other ways to adjust timing in subs2srs/aegis/etc., I figure it doesn't matter *too* much... I made sure these weren't already at http://project-modelino.com/japanese-movies.htm before posting, just as I did when first posting previous archives. However, the subtitle files seem to be...not user friendly. They are split into 2 files, CD1 and CD2, and also have 2 other files that I have no idea what they are (.idx). I wouldn't care about making my own file using aegisub but the files are unreadable. Anyone who can explain, I would be deeply grateful. Cheesemaster64 from the future says: Well Cheesemaster64, if you used google for more than 5 minutes you would have found this link. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/209730-How-do-I-convert-DVD-or-sub-idx-to-text-srt-subtitles Next time, try looking a little harder ok? japanese subtitles for films - chamcham - 2010-04-09 Cheesemaster64 Wrote:Cheesemaster64 from past says:are you talking about .idx and .sub files? There a CD 1 and a CD2 file. I'm guessing CD2 is special features but if not, is there any way to put them into one file? Edit:やっぱり half the movie is in one file and half is in the other. Edit 2: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/merging-2-subtitles-files-into-1-t325546.html japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-04-10 Haha. After you've figured out those basics, keep in mind as I stated in the initial comment that subs2srs works with idx/sub files, so even then you don't need to convert. It's not convenient for when you want to copy/paste since those are images rather than OCR'd text, but. japanese subtitles for films - juniperpansy - 2010-04-19 Thanks for the subtitles but... what's up with the sharebee.com spam links? It looks like you have to pay to download (make a subscription where you have to pay to have text messages sent to your phone or something). As well even IE seems to be blocking a lot of the pages as unsafe. Am I missing something?? edit: my bad... I was tricked by the big download banners. japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-04-19 hehe japanese subtitles for films - LazyNomad - 2010-04-20 Is there any place on the internets which has japanese subtitles for popular holywood movies? japanese subtitles for films - nest0r - 2010-04-20 Try the above-linked http://www.subs.to/subtitles/32/A/ -- I like the interface better than opensubtitles.org, which is currently down and where the subs.to site seems to get its subs. japanese subtitles for films - LazyNomad - 2010-04-20 wow... thanks, nest0r. |
