Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - rich_f - 2009-08-03 If you're taking the December JLPT, today is the start of registration. Since some sites like Washington, DC have only about 290 seats (according to the website), you may want to register sooner rather than later. New York is also notorious for filling up fast. I went ahead and registered for JLPT2 in DC. (Not that any of you care. )http://www.jflalc.org/?act=tpt&id=8 Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Hashiriya - 2009-08-03 i registered for JLPT 3 as i think JPLT 2 is just slightly over my head... I may go for 2 or 1 next year... Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Tobberoth - 2009-08-03 I'm going to register for JLPT1 in Copenhagen, but we can't register until the 20th. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - plumage - 2009-08-04 Signed up for JLPT4 NYC. So if I pass I can "progress" to JLPT4 in 2010 with the new system. lol Thanks for the heads-up! Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - vosmiura - 2009-08-04 I've registered for JLPT2 in SF. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Cheesemaster64 - 2009-08-09 I just signed up for the JLPT1 in NYC mofo's. Dec. I think you may be selling yourself a bit short. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Hashiriya - 2009-08-09 i've only completed core 2000 on smart.fm and i am still in progress of finishing the KO lists (probably another month or so until i do) my grammar is still behind as well.... so i need more practice.. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - kazelee - 2009-08-09 Ohh. I figure 6000+ you'd gone through it already. I still think you may be selling yourself short, though. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - rich_f - 2009-08-09 You should try a practice JLPT2 just to see how you would do. If you're close, it might be worth it to gun for it. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - mentat_kgs - 2009-08-09 Man, I decided long ago to try the 1kyu. But I might chicken out to 2kyu, gotta do some practice tests too! Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Tzadeck - 2009-08-09 I'm signing up for JLPT2, but here in Japan. I've been studying Japanese for 4 years, so it's actually a bit sad. However, the 3 years I took it in college were heavily concentrated on conversation (which, consequently, I'm quite good at). After that I've done self study, but was going really slow until I discovered RTK and SRS a few months ago. Dec. Just change the level and year of the test in the url to bring up the desired test. The audio quality is so bad though which sucks. I Hope thats not the quality on the real tests cos if it is that's shocking. I'm going to sign up for JLPT2 and give it my best. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - zanzibar - 2009-08-10 Excellent. Thanks! Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - mentat_kgs - 2009-08-10 Man, now I'm thinking: Final Fantasy XIII at launch or doing the JLPT? Final Fantasy is a bit cheaper. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Tobberoth - 2009-08-10 mentat_kgs Wrote:Man, now I'm thinking: Final Fantasy XIII at launch or doing the JLPT? Final Fantasy is a bit cheaper. You can play Final Fantasy the day after or any other day ever. You can only do JLPT once a year. The choice is quite clear from my perspective, it's just a game (and the way Squaresoft has been working lately, I doubt it will be a good one). Dec. What do you need it for, surely if you need it for a job you can put "I can speak Japanese" on your CV and get the same effect? Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - Tobberoth - 2009-08-10 bombpersons Wrote:"I speak Japanese" means nothing, anyone can say that. My friend can say "sayonara" so well that a Japanese person might actually understand what word he was aiming for.mentat_kgs Wrote:Man, now I'm thinking: Final Fantasy XIII at launch or doing the JLPT? If you ever plan to work in Japan, it's a definite must. If you ever wish to work with Japanese in a western business setting, it can't be bad, especially if you're self-learned and have no academic proof of your ability. In any other situation though, it's quite useless, except as a motivator. Dec. It's definitely nice for my curriculum. I know that because of English. I have never taken any test for it, so my employers always assumed my English was just passable. The only document that showed I knew something about English was my Java Certificate. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - jondesousa - 2009-08-10 I just signed up for 3kyu for New York. I think this will finally motivate me to get my crap together and really learn Japanese instead of always putting it aside. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - kazelee - 2009-08-10 Was wondering why JPLT kept popping up in my head throughout the day. Then I reread the title of this thread. Dec. JPLT Registration in the US Starts Today - mezbup - 2009-08-12 I just got the form to sign up! I'm being ambitious and signing up for 2kyuu so I have to bust my ass to pass it and in the process hopefully learn some Japanese. Funny that. |
