Anyone?! I'm a day in this system. I always seem to work harder and better when I have competition. Now I know rtk isn't a race of any sort. But competition always seems to make me work harder. Moreover, I sure this competition will be proactive in reassuring our abilities when in doubt. If anyones a freshman like me or not? I'll play catch up as best as possible, I'd love to have a companion to go through this with.

If you really perfer Yahoo i can get on that too but i rather not.

Btw the more the merrier! we could do an MSN chat room and group study

Also posted this on the group study forums but i feel this will get more beginners in this thread

How about we make an IRC channel for RTK? (you double posted by the way)

Friendly competition - Matty0187 - 2009-07-28

I'm down for an IRC channel... I havent used IRC in a while but I think i have some IRC plugin for mozilla. I've done it plenty in the past just if you could make the channel that would be amazing

I'd be down for this as well. I suggest using digibase.ca for the IRC server or perhaps irc.gamecubecafe.com. Though, there are old friends that I know on both those servers, so if I ever spotted them it'd be too tempting to go in and give them a shout (and I'm seriously trying to avoid communication with those dudes).

Ok then I think maybe an "Official" RTK channel would be cool =D I've used IRC a little bit before, but I have no idea how to start a IRC channel. What would be the best way to go about it? Or is it as simple as /join #RTK ?

Kind of difficult to have a race when the starting time is different for people. Now, if you racing ghost times, mine was about 250 hours to do RTK1 to 90% in stack 4 or higher (1-2 hours/day for 6 months).

Reason I give hours, I don't know if during those six months you will be deploying to Korea and China and Australia while helping prepare a 1000 man command ship for Congressional based inspection while trying to do RTK. Smart ass way of saying we all have life issues that negate a daily race, but each of us see a goal to walk toward in our own way.

If you are going for days though, I think someone called 20 days for "finishing" in that he had all his stories in a SRS. I think finishing is 90% as mature (in Anki) or in the last stack (on RevTK).

I can dig that.

EDIT: I can't dig that. I can't even get in to the server.
EDIT(2): Tried the normal ircnet server and I managed to connect. Sweet.

We should really stick the channel in a different server. I can barely connect to ircnet half the time because of the sheer amount of people that are on it.
