Anki deck questions - nadiatims - 2009-07-21 Hi everyone, I've recently started going through an Anki deck of JLPT 1級 vocabulary, with the hope of having it well and truly learned by December. I'm using the sentence plugin for Anki, to give me a little context when I need it. My question is, is it possible to shuffle the anki deck? As it is now, everything is in alphabetic order, which is problamatic because when I'm guessing the readings of kanji words, I know the first kana. One more question: I've read a few times that some forum members create production cards once they become familiar with the recognition card. Is there a quick way to this, short of manually adding each new production card? Also, when I hit the add new card button, it seems I have no option to create production cards. Sorry, if these are stupid questions. I haven't used anki in a long time so I'm a bit of a noob. Basically, now I've finished RTK3 using this site, I'm trying to consolidate my study into one anki deck (based on the 1級 vocab deck) to which I can add cards for vocab/grammer/whatever. I don't want to spend time manually adding sentences. I'm happy to rely on the sentence plugin even if those sentences aren't perfect. お願いします。 Anki deck questions - Nukemarine - 2009-07-21 There's an Anki forum that's linked on the Anki site for questions like this. Anki is such a popular format on this forum, that it can dominate discussions here if not locked. In the future refer Anki questions to the google forum. For your question: There's a "show new cards randomly" option in your. On your study options screen there should be a "more" button, which will reveal a pull down option for new cards. To create production cards will take more detailed explanation on setting up card types then generating missing cards. It's not difficult, but better answered on the anki site. Congrats on finishing RTK3 though. Anki deck questions - nadiatims - 2009-07-21 thanks nukemarine for the show new card randomly option. Knew it had to be there somwhere. Anyway, I won't polute this forum any further with anki questions. |
