Help me to use my Sharp PW-TC930 dictionary - Shizuru - 2009-07-19 Ok, so I bought the most expensive dictionary I could find when I went to Japan: the Sharp PW-TC930 electronic dictionary. I think it's a rather popular one, considering that it has a color display, and I was wondering if anyone around here could help me how to use it (I lost the manual btw). What I really want to do is to store specific Japanese-English dictionary entries someplace where I can just see a list of them with translations w/o the need to type them in the dictionary again. Also, that would be a lot of dictionary entries, say 1000 or more. As the thing got an xD memory card, it would be a blast if I could store like 1G dictionary entries (from say a book) in there. Any ideas on how to use it? Maybe someone got the same dictionary? Would really be helpful, as I don't know how to use most of the features of this dictionary! Ty. Help me to use my Sharp PW-TC930 dictionary - Jarvik7 - 2009-07-19 Sharp dictionaries actually aren't all that popular, due to the high degree of control lag... They do have some unique features, but they are mostly useless (color screen, built in battery, oneseg) and don't justify the extra cost and other downsides. I doubt the feature you want exists. There probably is a bookmark feature, but you probably cannot see the definitions on the same screen as the list of bookmarked words. Look for something labelled 単語帳, お気に入り, ブックマーク, or しおり。 Help me to use my Sharp PW-TC930 dictionary - Katsuo - 2009-07-19 Sharp electronic dictionaries: manual downloads. (links page: over 100 manuals etc.) The following links are specific to the PW-TC930 Sharp's online information Japanese manual (pdf) (284 pages) English Quick guide (pdf) Brief list of functions in English I don't own this model, so can't give any advice. I was very happy with the Sharp colour PW-C5000 I had a few years ago (except that it ate batteries and fell apart of its own accord). |
