Kanji Stroke Order resource - ryuudou - 2009-07-12 It seems the link in the essentials sticky is broken. Could someone point me to an online resource where I can search for kanji and get the stroke order? Thanks. Kanji Stroke Order resource - Gnurou - 2009-07-13 If you want an online resource, you can also use the KanjiVG website: http://kanjivg.tagaini.net/ This is where the stroke order animations for Tagaini come from. The site is a little bit rough but you can search for a kanji and get its components and stroke order indications. For instance: http://kanjivg.tagaini.net/Kanji/%E6%BC%A2 To see the stroke order, you need to put your mouse on the components or strokes that are displayed on the left. The corresponding component/stroke will be highlighted on the right image. As this uses rather recent web technology (SVG), I make no guarantee that this will work with something else than Firefox 3.5 (Firefox 3 does not work ; Safari makes the kanji image very small ; did not even bother to try IE). Oh, and if you find mistakes, please be nice to report them! ![]() If this doesn't work for you or if you prefer classical animations, you can also use this website: http://kakijun.main.jp/ Just click on the 漢字の検索 button, enter a kanji, and there you go. There are probably many other resources like this one. |
