KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - thecite - 2009-07-09 I'm currently completing KO2001, using Anki. One of the best things about it is the ability to copy and paste all the example sentences straight into Anki and review them, which is convenient and allows me to adhere to AJATT's sentence method of no English. Once I'm past book 1 and 2, I would really like to carry out the last 890 using the same method, however it will take an extremely long time to find a good example sentence for every word. Therefore, I'm asking if anyone is interested in helping make a spreadsheet with an example sentence for every kanji compound included in the last 890 of KO. Any grammar level would be fine, as long as it is a fairly natural Japanese sentence. Considering that I'm still completing KO at the moment, I don't have much time to spare, so any help would be appreciated. Let me know if you're interested, you can head the project if you want (really don't have much time right now). If you don't have access to the final 890, which are only on the CD, then contact me and it can be arranged. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - thecite - 2009-07-09 With example sentences? If it does, then I'd be all for helping the effort towards inputting the example sentences from that into a spread sheet rather than this. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - blackmacros - 2009-07-09 Yeah its got example sentences for them. Its like KO2001's big brother (different company makes it though). I think there is currently an on-going sentence project, or a completed sentence project, for it. Check the group projects thread. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - cloudstrife543 - 2009-07-09 Does it really cover the last ones that KO2001 doesnt cover? Are there any repeats or missing kanji? Do they follow the same data on level of usage?
KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - Hashiriya - 2009-07-09 we are planning on doing that in our KO2001 group project... why don't u join in to that? http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=2419 KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - activeaero - 2009-07-09 FYI I think Coscom is actually working on a third book that covers the remaining Kanji. Of course there is no telling when it will be released. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - zazen666 - 2009-07-09 one could use iknow for the remaining sentences. who knows when book 3 will be out? KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - thecite - 2009-07-09 If we could get a good balance of iKnow, Google, Alc, Natively constructed sentences, then we could compile a list in a short time and offer a nifty alternative for KO users before the release of the 3rd book. That being said, I've contacted coscom and asked them if they can give me a ball park for when they'll release book 3. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - thecite - 2009-07-09 CosCom's reply: "We will, hopefully, release the Level 3 in 2010 Winter. As you may know, Joyo Kanji will be revised in 2010 Fall after 30 years. We will take new Joyo Kanji members into Level 3. According to our study about new members (current candidates), There is nothing change in Level 1 & 2." KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - thecite - 2009-07-09 I've created a spread sheet and entered a few kanji as examples. Please email me to be joined to the group. KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - mafried - 2009-07-10 thecite, there is already an effort underway for this. See the KO2001/iKnow group effort thread. (Yes, they are currently at around 800 in book 2, but fully intend to continue this into the word list of book 3. Me too, as soon as I get that far) KO2001 - Anyone interested in making sentences for last 890 kanji? - lagwagon555 - 2009-07-10 I wonder if they'll include audio sentences for level 3. Also, if they mean they're going to include new joyo, would that imply they are going to have 1000 kanji in level 3? |
