Just curious - about how many reviews had you done by the time you had completed RTK1?
I am around the 1000 mark right now on kanji and have clocked 6376 reps. You can find your number of reps in the "My Profile" link at the top.

I haven't finished RtK 1 yet, I'm at frame 1615 but with 10278 reviews so far, but this is largely due to my pedestrian pace as I started RtK back in January '09.

I'm due to finish RTK1 tomorrow, and I'm on 8000~ reviews. Started about 2 and a half months ago.
Of course, I'd say that I'm nowhere near "completion" of RTK1. I think it'll take months (years?) of reviewing until I'm comfortable with all the kanji.

Now I have 24'486 reviews. At some point after I finished and neglected reviews I marked most kanji as failed very quickly and restarted. I don't really remember how many I had when I "finished".
Actually I think the total number of reviews is probably a more accurate evaluation of how far you're in your RtK studies than which kanji you're at. It's possible to go really fast through the book if you have enough free time but you finish with a very low review count and you'd quickly forget everything if you were to stop at that point. On the other hand, people who go more slowly finish with a high review count and have already solidified their knowledge of many kanji.

When I finished RTK I had just about 7000 repetitions on the counter and I just hit 10,000 reptions a few days ago. The lower number is actually due to the fact that I added about 100 a day after I hit frame 1350.

Right now I'm sitting at 9,914 reviews; just added the last RTK1 cards a couple days ago.
Of course, my fail pile is nearing 200 cards and this is the second time around. When I stopped at about frame 1730 last time, I was probably at around 13,000 reviews.
All the failed cards are ones I haven't added stories for. My way of adding cards was just adding them, reviewing them, failing (most of) them, and then leaving them in the fail stack to add stories for. So I'm not really *done* done heh.
I'll definitely have over 10,000 reviews before I get the rest of them sorted.

I finished adding the last RtK1 card after 107 days & 15,911 reviews. Partly this high because I missed a lot of cards along the way, partly because I don't use the 'learned' button but rather study failed cards briefly & then review them again with <http://kanji.koohii.com/review/review.php?expired=1&box=1>. Every failed card, in other words, a minimum of 2 reviews, once in the missing, once in the getting it back in the system.

Well if by completion you mean having all your cards in column 4 or above, then I'm still going even after learning all of them. Up to about 16,000 reviews, I'll probably just keep going. But as to actually finishing the RTK book, probably can be done in under 10,000 reviews.

A little over 10000 for the first 2042 I think. But I started to use this site somewhere halfthrough, so I added the first 700 or so cards immediately. Now I'm slowly approaching 25000 reviews. That would have been a heck of a lot work using paper flashcards...
