Each month during "Operation Green Sweep", the local police department spends $25,000 in tax money to rent a helicopter and hover over the properties of local land owners early in the morning while they sleep. Last month was a grand success. They collected and burned over 50 marijuana plants! Ritalin - Robatsu - 2009-06-30 I prefer good old fashioned "effort", much higher in abundance and doesn't require storage space. Conveinent! So I think I'm okay in that department. Liking it to hard drugs in general or cocaine and or speed and or crack and or heroine is, of course, plain silliness. It's not like I'm dicing it up and snorting it, which, as I read earlier today, would have an intensified effect. (This is not part of today's tip.) (This is not part of today's tip.)Duh, you don't have to dice it up and snort it in order for it to be called doing drugs, you being from the Netherlands should know, jah toch? It is still a 'prescription' and not taking it is obviously better than taking it don't you agree? It might give you a one-time boost (at an expense for some people) and then what? You take one today and what, study your 350 cards, and then, tomorrow you take one again?? c'mon Ritalin - aaronvanvalen - 2009-06-30 Musashi Wrote:Duh, you don't have to dice it up and snort it in order for it to be called doing drugs, you being from the Netherlands should know, jah toch? You take one today and what, study your 350 cards, and then, tomorrow you take one again?? c'monI understand it is defined as drugs, but I still would like to make people aware of the dubiousness of that term and especially the connotations of the word. One cannot start talking about Ritalin, then referring to it as a drug (which it is) and then linking it to speed and or cocaine (which it's not). Even if it is made up of the same elements, it is not the same thing for otherwise there'd be no cocaine. I would not be surprised if my being from the Netherlands has caused people to respond more harshly as it is viewed as a drug haven by many. Of course, we (Dutchies) know how and that our policy works. Of niet dan?
Ritalin - Musashi - 2009-06-30 Well people are responsible for their own actions but since you've posted it here, others are merely giving their opinion, as for me, I'd rather drink a glas of sugared water btw I'm quite surprised that there are quite some Hollanders learning Japanese here. Didn't know it was that popular hehe. Maybe because Dutch people toch gewoon meer aanleg hebben in 't leren van talen.
Ritalin - aaronvanvalen - 2009-06-30 I know they're giving their opinion but I'm just saying they seem to be misinformed and or generalizing to a certain degree. We moeten wel, niemand spreekt Nederlands

I found myself awakening more than one time over RTK1, and it was not because of a boring chapter. Definitely not as funny as it sounds (imagine something like that happens to you at work...).Sorry to read that you have a genuine affliction it seems. Great choice of a kanji avatar, in that case, however. (Doubtful you chose at random.)

I bought what I thought was an apple filled donut with brown sugar on top. I bit into it and thought, "What the H***!!!". It was beef curry filled :/ I am vegetarian (though obviously not for health reasons). It was the first time I had beef in my mouth in 15 years. Ritalin - cracky - 2009-06-30 "Methylphenidate pharmacological effect on the central nervous system is almost identical to that of cocaine. Studies have shown that the two drugs are nearly indistinguishable when administered intravenously to cocaine addicts.[116][117] However, cocaine has a slightly higher affinity for the dopamine receptor in comparison to methylphenidate, which is thought to be the mechanism of the euphoria associated with the relatively short-lived cocaine high.[118] Controversy has surrounded whether methylphenidate is as commonly abused as other stimulants with many believing that its rate of abuse is much lower than other stimulants. However, the majority of studies assessing its abuse potential and drug liking scores have determined that it has a similar abuse potential as cocaine and d-amphetamine.[119]" -Wikipedia The comparison to cocaine and harder drugs seems pretty valid. People always make the mistake of thinking "Oh it's a pill so it's not as bad as people that shoot things up in their body." It's the reason pill abuse is such a problem in schools, raves, and other places. Of course pills can be just as bad if not worse than hard drugs, just do some research about your new drug of choice. Mmmphmm ::plegh:: this is beans with bean sauce on top!") I just have stopped ordering any desert entirely and just eat fruit at home instead.
