Hi everyone!
I´m currently at frame 1249 in RTK vol. 1, working steadily at approx. 23-25 kanji a day! I feel that I´ve found a groove, and that I´m making progress!
That said, I just wanted to ask you guys a question about my retention rate!
I´ve read in a lot of posts that I "shouldn´t worry, just let the SRS do its thing, and it´ll eventually stick!". I´ve done that, and I still don´t worry about my retention rate that much, BUT I think something strange is happening to me as apposed to many others on this forum.
I usually get 95-100% on the first review, then go down to maybe 90-95% on under a month, and then over a month 80-90%. I´ve read many posts here that you struggle with the reviews at first, and then eventually it gets easy, and your over a month rate is much better than the first review ones... I don´t mean to whine about this, but I´m just wondering if I should do something differently?
I feel that I have a good routine, and that it´s fun, but on the other hand I feel like I´m doing the opposite of many members here - The first reviews are very easy for me, and the over a month stuff is harder! Is it just individual?
On the other hand, I´m very happy with the progress so far, and I don´t care that much about my statistic, but I just wanted to ask, since I have this feeling that I´m going in another direction than you guys, hehe! =)

Okay I finished RTK about a month ago and I have noticed the exact same trend you have experienced. I noticed that in the first few reviews my retention rate is almost 100% but after a 1 month about 90-95% is retained and then about 80% or so is retained after about 3 months. However after I finished RTK I noticed that it stayed at about 80% and then started to climb back up to about 90%. I don't think you should worry too much since everything sorts itself out like a nice neat little package.
