の particle after "time" words? - activeaero - 2009-06-09 I left ADBJG at work、which would probably explain it clearly as I'm sure it is some elementary concept I'm blanking out on, but I was wondering about this phrase: 今の私はあなたの知らない色。 I know it is basically saying "I'm your unknown color now." but what is the significance of adding the の particle after 今 instead of it just existing without the particle which is often the case? Whereas 今私 what you are about to do at the moment. の particle after "time" words? - Smackle - 2009-06-09 "The present me" or "my present self" might be more natural sounding. の can be used to sort of describe nouns with other nouns. 今 is being used to describe 私.
