Oh, I forgot to answer that. 次のとおり just means 'as follows' here. "I'm petitioning you as follows". Presumably the details of the request are in the next few sentences.

I'd have to look over the whole song to answer the other questions, it's impossible to understand isolated snippets of song lyrics. (It's too late to study a song tonight).

I don't quite understand this 捧げし. What's the purpose of this し right after the verb? Also, Is this 捧ぐ or 捧げる?

the し is 連体形 of 過去の助動詞「き」 so its like a relative clause ending in ～た which modifies a noun in modern grammar. 天に捧げた命

Let me take a look at the first link and explanation you posted. As for 合える, yeah that's what I should have written in the first place. I just didn't notice that when I finished typing. But other than that, it doesn't make much sense to me. I've seen verbs followed by 合う before, but this one here is really beyond me.

EDIT: I don't understand anything you said before "relative clause". I still resort to English explanations and terms for the most part, because it's very hard to understand something when the explanation makes things more confusing with tons of complex terminology. I'll try reading that part though, so thanks for the link (I'd never find that kind of stuff by myself lol).

Sorry, so like you used to have the auxilary verb き (which can be compared to modern た). And the form used to modify nouns (連体形) was し. So your 天に捧げし命 means 天に捧げた命. It's one of those classical grammar things that occasionally pops up in regular Japanese (esp. songs and such).

edit: if you want a good explanation in Japanese ≪ http://www.hello-school.net/haroajapa009002.htm ≫ this link might be better. It's got examples with modern Japanese translations.

I didn't understand the other ones, but it's good to know this. It was pretty clear this song is more poetic than normal, so I'm not surprised to see something like that... it's just much harder to look this sort of stuff up. I'll try reading it again to see if I can understand the other forms explained there or maybe look elsewhere for a more information on classic Japanese.

I feel these explanations are too wordy sometimes, which only makes things more complicated in my case. All it really takes is a few good examples and a concise definition to get the point across, so that's the kind of explanation I tend to read when the ones in English aren't good enough.

By the way, any thoughts on the 重ね合えない現実 part?

It means to do something like crazy/thoroughly/repeatedly.

Dictionary definition of this form of まくる: （動詞の連用形に付いて）ずっとその動作を続ける。盛んに…する。むやみに…する。「書き―・る」「走り―・る」「逃げ―・る」

The kanji for it is 捲.
